Why so many gay couples in tv shows?

I work in the media. And the so-called mainstream media is all about issue advocacy. That’s number one.

Truly.

So do most Catholics think it’s wrong for a human character in sci-fi to marry a non-human? These are things I never worry about.

(But Han definitely shot first.)

As a Catholic Christian, all I can say to all that is, maran atha.

Yes, thank you Ed. I was going to mention GLAAD earlier, myself.
Rather disingenious for anyone to argue that there is no agenda, when there are activist groups like GLAAD promoting the “homosexual activity is virtuous” lie so vigorously.
If LGBT people have an agenda to have their views be heard and a desire to be presented in a favorable light, they’re hardly alone. Most groups have organizations that advocate for them, so I don’t see anything unusual about GLAAD.

Whether a human can marry an alien in a fantasy movie or tv show doesn’t matter. It’s not real. It’s for enjoyment lol. Otherwise Star Trek is mortal sin. That said, there is plenty of mortal sin in movies and tv shows so don’t misunderstand me

This is on a global scale. " GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance . As a dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.’

So, this is not just a lone group out to make a statement. This is about active marketing that “leads to cultural change.”

"GLAAD’s Global Voices initiative aims to build LGBTQ acceptance across the globe by sharing stories of LGBTQ people and their families around the world and helping LGBTQ advocates build capacity for change in their own cities and countries.

“The initiative always engages in support of strong, organized, local LGBTQ organizations that have identified clear objectives and believe GLAAD can be helpful in achieving those objectives. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach, and GLAAD works in partnership with existing organizations that best understand how to affect change.”

Is the union open to children?
Is that a serious question?

I never said anything about that. I simply answered the question.

No. The shorter one in the pic is a guy, named Keith.

The two female members of the Voltron team are the alien princess (who wears the pink uniform) and the Katy “Pigge” who wears the green uniform. Both of them are not pictured.

Keith (in the red) is just short.

True.

But it’s still sad that we can’t trust a TV-Y7 rating.

What Hollywood considers appropriate for a 7 year old is just sad.

I think it’s to be expected in our current climate but why do they have to put it in kids shows?
This to me is pushing an agenda on children’s impressionable minds and is an adult issue that should be left to adult films.

Why not just let kids be kids and give them “innocent” shows like Lion King and Madagascar etc?

Is there something wrong with this? It’s true that one of the most effective ways that LGBT people have had to built accepted by society is to come out and tell our stories to our families and friends. That way, they discovered we weren’t all the stereotypes they imagined and that most of us lead fairly normal lives. They discovered that they already knew lots of gay people in their families and at work without even realizing it.

Let’s not forget the odd bestial character. They may not be too common, but we know bestiality is out there.

Part of the sexual revolution involves government giving up on censorship.

Yes, censorship can be unreasonable, it can be used politically, but it can also be used in a reasonable way to protect us from harm.

The secular society no longer considers homosexuality to be disordered, but it objectively is.

Being left-handed is not disordered, not sure where you were going with that.

Anyone who cannot pay the marriage debt to his spouse cannot get married. Two men or two women lack the proper anatomy to even perform the marital act, so all they are capable of is sodomy. No marriage debt can possible exist between two men or two women.

Without our current understanding of life and biology, and reasoning from what was then known, it would have been reasonable to consider life as beginning somewhere between the completion of the marital act and birth.

Conception itself may have been thought to occur nearer to the first felt movements of the child, or to be occuring at that moment. This seems perfectly reasonable.

We know that St. John the Baptist leapt in the womb of St. Elizabeth when she was visited by Mary and Christ (in her womb).

I don’t know that Aquinas denied that life could begin before the quickening. Instead, he reasoned that then we could be certain about life, but before then we could not be certain, as we were lacking in signs. It reasonable to doubt when signs are lacking. After all, having had conjugal relations is not a sign of new life.

Yes I wish the government would outlaw playboy and strip clubs and pornographic websites. There is no need for “personal freedom” with these things. I’ll give up my free will in this department to help everyone not be so tempted and to help all those objected and dehumanized as well as trafficked and raped in these horrible things.

Obviously if people still want access to it they will find it but we don’t need to make it so easy to access. That’s why Covenant Eyes is such a good program to have.
