I have encounter to Devils and I found them very strong. They could manipulate our thoughts and feelings. They could even control our mind if they wish! So I was wondering that why God left us alone with Devils? What is the purpose?

Why not?

We are all formed , or destroyed, in the forge. Our Souls are tested. Is it not said repeatedly in the Bible , of different Patriachs and Prophets.?

Temptations last but a fleeting moment in our daily struggle. Pray when you are tempted. Do not dialogue with Satan. Do not give it permission to run riot in your life.

Why we should be tested?

No, temptation can last forever. It could become so strong too. It is all up to Devils. What is the meaning test if our failure depends on the strength of temptation? We are good persons if we don’t fail because the temptation is weak otherwise the temptation is strong and we fail.

Again, Why not? If it was good enough for Jesus to be tested in His 40 day and night journey in the Wilderness, surely its good enough for mere creatures like you and I.

Why are you giving permission for satan to destroy your soul? All these excuses you are trotting out. Have you ever had to quit an addiction. Ie smoking, drugs, alcohol, chocolate, social media etc.

Surely you have enough strength of character to pray through those times? Or do you allow satan to remove that too.

And guess what! There is always the Sacrament of Confession when we fail. So go, confess.

Jesus Christ defeated satan by His Passion and Crucifixion and Resurrection.

End of story, there is no negotiation, or forgiveness for satan. None.

This is not true. They can not control our minds if they wish, if they have control over us it is not because they wish, it is because we gave them control. While they can try to manipulate our thoughts and feelings, we still have free to make the final decision.

I will not disagree that they are very strong, and have powers, and I do agree if you give them your soul, they will give you whatever you want, and then destroy you with it.

Read the book of Job and you will get your answer.

I am curious. I never heard of a rational, skeptical atheist be bothered by the devil or a demon. Did some exorcist ever find an atheist being “possessed” by some demon? And if so, how did this possession manifest itself? Looks like the best “defense” against demons is the lack of belief. 🙂

God uses the Devils and Angels to determine which path a person wants to take … Good or Evil .

The Devil is only after believers.

I fought with their temptation to the best I could. Haven’t you ever wonder that how they could tempt us read our minds if they have no control in our mind?

So why we should live this life and suffer? God could create us and ask us to choose him or not as He did with Angels.

They cannot read your mind. Only God can do that. Its not hard for them to know our sins.

They follow you round like a good detective. Say a person’s sin was alcohol, you see it sooner or later. Like any sin, stealing, adultery, sooner or later you get caught. Although the devil goes out of his way to tempt us, he cannot read our minds. Read Job it tells you.

Dear Rinnie,

This is an excellent answer.

I would humbly add that all human suffering and trial must be viewed in the light of what Christ suffered for our salvation.

Let us all pray for the “OP”. 🙂
