Those were actually 2 books I suggested to you to read. Upon This Rock by Steve Ray and Jesus, Peter & the Keys. (not sure the author)
O.K. I will look into them BUT do they show that over 82% of the Church Fathers who spoke about Peter and The Papacy, agreed with The Orthodox or The Roman Catholic point of view?
You see we all can play this game and say so n so said this and so n so said that. But when you have all the Bishops that put their 2 cents in about Peter and the Papacy. And they go into great detail about it and it shows that 82% agreed with The Eastern Philosophy not the Western it is a little hard to ignore.👍

Liturgical abuses are under the authority of the Local Bishop. If however, no action is taken, the laity itself is to blame for it is their duty to** report Liturgical Abuses to the higher authority**. First they** need to be address with charity to the priest who committed the abuse. Second, if the priest does not adhere. You bring it up to the diocese**. If the diocese does not listen, you can contact the Congregation of Divine Liturgy and Worship.

The Pope is well aware of this, and this is often addressed in the annual Synod.

If you actually taken the time to check the issue of Liturgical Abuses use the Search engine in Catholic Answers Forum. The Apologist Forum, where you can post Q&A have resources for the laity to report them properly.

Actually, there was a priest who was relieved of his duty because he allowed an Non-Catholic priest part take in the Mass. The Archbishop from Baltimore remove priest from the liturgy.

See article: baltimoresun.com/news/local/baltimore_city/bal-te.md.ci.priest09nov09,0,5298429.story

The problem I see with the widespread abuse is the lack of the laity to take proper action. You need to report it. The abuses you see the bojo posted is no different. Apparently, someone is not doing the reporting.

Catholics ought to know what their rights are.
Trust me Brother,

A lot of Catholics have complained to all Bishops including the Pope himself and nothing is being done. So where is that strong authority of the Pope??

There are tons of quotes and commentary.

Yes but everyone that you show that backs your theory there are probably 20 that backs ours. It kind of like converts. For everyone that goes from Orthodoxy to Catholocism there are 20 Catholics that go to Orthodoxy. 😛 😃 😉

Come on let’s have a party ( in front of the consecrated gifts)

A carnevals Mass ! they are playing jokes in front of the Holy Table and in fornt of the Holy Gifts ! I know why the Mother of God is weeping !
But yet Catholics still believe they are the True Traditional Church??

Its not because children are smiling.

And I ask all MY Catholic Friends, if the apostoles were alive today would they understand This New Mass?
Or would they be able to follow The Orthodox Liturgy?
 👍
There’s nothing wrong with a children’s mass or children clapping.

Yes,it is the true, tradtional Church – because it was founded by Christ upon Peter, who was martyred in Rome and consecrated Rome with his blood, and whose apostolic successors preside from Rome.

Yes we know it is a fact.
Does that mean you dont believe that the Eastern Churches such as Constantinople ,Russia,Antioch or Jerusalem are true churches?,and have the right to proclaim themselves as True Churches and for all the Shepherds of these Churches to feed their flock and lead them to salvation.?

We hear that these are violations or abuse? But they are continuing with freedom to do so, and who has ever been excommunicated because they have celebrated a monkey Mass, a clown Mass, a Peter Paul and Mary Mass, a rock Mass, a ballet dancer Mass, a mariachi band Mass, a gay Mass, a Halloween Mass, a video slide show Mass, a cowboy Mass, a native American Indian Mass?
I agree that the discipline in the Roman Catholic Church is horrid. However, to maintain our credibility we must stick with critiques of the objective liturgical law of the Latin Church. I don’t know why we need to engage in these liturgical food fights (and that’s what they are) when we could easily make a better, more professional argument by critiquing the official changes in the Latin Church. I think I’ll take a break from the forum for a long while. This style of debating that doesn’t stimulate productive and respectful discussion, but just makes people mad is a waste of time and a failure in Christian charity, IMO.

God bless,

Adam

But does it NOT say in The Bible to hold fast to the traditions that you were taught by word or mouth?

How is this tradional? Do you believe the apostoles would aprove this?

The “liturgical abuses” are continuing. But why are they so frequent in the RC Church today and so infrequent in the EO Church?
Because the Catholic Church is far more widespread and populous than the Orthodox Church;and because the Catholic Church is not wedded to a traditional culture like the Orthodox Churches are, with their Greek and Byzantine heritage;and because Western culture is generally more secularized and irreverrant than Eastern culture.

The apostles prayed with their hands in the air and in joy.

The Holy Spirit isn’t timid or somber.
