Again, reciting a latin prayer by rote, and being fluent enough to understand the paryer, as well as in your own tongue, are two different things.

Less reasoning of a 7 year old? Pulease!As I mentioned before, children learn these responses. I hardly consider my 7 year old to be a member of the ‘intellectual elite’ So yes, maybe people without less reasoning ablilty than a 7 year old would be exempt from Vatican II’s instructions in this matter
