the ROCK is God’s teachings. in the Bible. not the CCC. the Bible with JUST the God-inspired books in it.
plus, Peter wouldve been a terrible Pope. honestly. think for YOURSELVES friends!! seek GOD’s truth!

Peter is the ROCK upon which THE Church was built. St. Peter is our first beloved Pope.

first off, i dont’ know if you’ll go to hell or not. That’s for God alone to decide, but before you leave the Catholic Church, really think about what it means to belong. Do you not accept the teachings? Do you not believe in the True Presence? Because if you’ve answered ‘yes’ to those questions, you cant’ leave. You know better. have you encountered Catholics who arent’ all that nice? That’s not reason enough to leave. I’m sure there’ll be snobs in the Assembly of God church, too. We HAVE JESUS IN THE EUCHARIST. We have all the revealed Truth. Don’t focus on the people (if that’s what’s going on). People are people and God will judge them when the time comes. But don’t turn your back on Jesus. He’s there in the Eucharist, waiting for you. Don’t tell Him ‘no’.

What do you mean by no enthusiasm? I have, and I see a lot of other Catholics with, a lot of enthusiasm for loving God and living according to His Will. If you mean jumping up and down in church by enthusiasm, then no I do not see that. But I personally find solemn worship more satisfying and more focused on God.

And if you become an Assembly of God member, you will no longer have the Eucharist, which is Jesus Himself.

Nope. Jesus Himself said that the Father (yep, God the Father, Creator) revealed this to Peter. You could actually say that God the Father HANDPICKED Peter. He could pick any of the 12 disciples, but no He chose Peter through whom the revelation about who Christ is, is going to be made. The Father WILLED that the revelation of Jesus’s true identity and His mission is to be reveled via Peter.

And besides, I was pretty truthful…I doubt that person will enjoy mass as much in 4 years
as he did today. 52 weeks a year gets pretty old.

Actually the Bible tells us disiples were first called christians at Antioch.
Acts 11:26. This was the beginnig of the church, The Christian church. The word Catholic isn’t used.
but , if your church teaches you this, then ask them why. I would.
