Unfortunately I’ve been to Catholic masses where the people raise their hands and wave their arms. Not a very ‘Catholic’ Mass, let me tell you. If it wasn’t for the Eucharist, I would have thought I was in some sort of Protestant service. I don’t know why they did it, because that particular parish was not a charismatic parish. I’m pretty sure charismatic parishes DO raise there arms and speak in tongues during mass, although I could be wrong. I’ve only attended one charismatic mass, and they did do it.Once a kid in my youth group talked to me about how hypocritical he is outside church, but when he’s in church, it’s like he’s not that way anymore. And he feels new. Just like how Jesus said: “Come to me who’m are burdened and heavy laden, for I will give you rest”-Jesus gave rest to the sinners. And if my church can offer that in the name of Christ, then by God it’s a good thing. Again, we’re not those crazy penacostal maniacs who wave our arms and speak in tounges!!I havent met one non-spiritual or un-faithful person in that church. And it’s a big church. And seeing as how we aren’t so alienated from one another, I’m pretty certain of that. Many of my friends who attend my church proclaim the gospel (we practically tag-team preach in school.) Using what the ministers have taught us. Jesus said you would know them by their fruit.
Exactly. If you don’t feel like giving a little bit back to Jesus, then I’d say just do what you want. God gave you that choice. But at least you can’t tell Jesus at the Judgement that you we didn’t warn you.I think your Lord and God Jesus Christ had to Grin and Bear it.

I’m at a stage now where I have a spiritual life, but my secular life is intruding on it. There is so much stress right now for me because of financial reasons, employment reasons, and health reasons, that I wish I had a much deeper spiritual life. But yet if you read the lives of the saints (doesn’t really matter which one) you’ll find that as you mature, you start to realize the imperfections you have and you really try hard to remedy them. For me, I know the things I want to fix, yet I can’t seem to fix them. I try really hard and yet slip back all the time. And all the time I keep apologizing to Jesus and ask His forgiveness. And then the process repeats.
You gotta be kidding me! We have the truth and the fullness of the faith and you don’t. Simply put, the Catholic church has remained from the beginning for 2,000 years and you haven’t. Protestants are in heresy from following their glorious reformers. We NEVER have changed ANY doctrines in the Catholic church, but you have. The Catholic church and Orthodox churches are the Holiest churches I’ve ever seen. the Catholic church which was founded by Christ is still here guided by the Holy Spirit. THAT is Spiritual enough.
WRONG my friend. Eating meat on Friday is NOT a Doctrine. You are leaving because as you clearly state, you do not understand the Catholic church, nor Scripture. There are many poorly Catechized Catholics, and your post surely proves this. One more thing, if you are Catholic, yet choose to reject Christ’s teachings by joining a non-Catholic church, you will remain in heresy, and your soul will stain a Mortal Sin…some people do not like the truth of the Catholic church…think about it. It is what it is.And there are MANY protestants who are better Christians

Now they dont. Except for lenten fridays.
They used to say you couldn’t get divorced…gee, there are a TON of divorced catholics.
and REMARRIED catholics.

Its ironic that people quit the cc becuse of lack of entertainment, I quit the protestant churchs becuse there was to much entertainment, I walked into a little cc church one morning and heard the most boring homily ever givin and after the mass went up to the priest and asked how to join. I asked another priest a question (can’t remember what) and his anwser conviced me the cc was the church for me. he said “I don’t know” most protestant preachers I’ve talked with talk alot but don’t really say anything thae fact theat the priest was willing to admit his ignorance impressed me.
