That seem rather uncalled for. (very holier than thou)Who cares? Worldlings do.
Didn’t know it would be considered worldly to look good for your spouse.

Not holier than thou. Merely speaking from experience. If it offends, perhaps you should wonder why? That seem rather uncalled for. (very holier than thou)
I don’t know what that has to do with my comment.Didn’t know it would be considered worldly to look good for your spouse.
Lets see people that try and look reasonably fashionable are worldlings? (Personally I haven’t been shopping for my self in 10 years. I could really careless.) What I take offense at is people projecting their preconceived notions about others on to them with out knowing their hearts. Then tossing around phrases like “worldling”.Not holier than thou. You haven’t cornered the market on being offended. How about people tossing around words like “frumpy”, “puritan”, “dowdy”, “unfashionable” “jansenistic” and I could go on and on. Do those making fun of “jumper-wearers” know these peoples hearts? Are not those preconceived notions?Lets see people that try and look reasonably fashionable are worldlings? **i finally found a nice pair of black mary janes at fashion bug plus last year.Okay, everybody, we’ve covered the jumpers–now how about 13 pages of discussion on shoes–my favorite topic
Just kidding!
Yep: women. I totally agree.Thank you Ann. I truely believe that it is in the hands of women to change things, it will take strong Cathollic mothers with the ability to see the truth… Oh, and by the way, I am a mother, thank you my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
God bless,
LaBernadette
*Lollll! *OutinChgoburbs; Cute, cute, cute- on the right woman. All that skirt would make 5’4" me look like a doorstop.
Yeah, I know, I was just trying to be funny. I used to live in an apartment above a Seamstress from Brussels (she made dresses for Judy Garland–really), and she always told me that, if we in the United States had a war on our soil, we’d never be able to survive the hardship because we’re too spoiled. Maria was her name. God rest her soul.Oh honey, I wish they did, but they don’t. The majority of women in Europe never sat on a pillow and embroidered all day. When you see that, you see women of means or nobility. European women work every bit as hard as we do, possibly harder! These were the ladies whose grandmothers and great-grandmothers kept families going during two world wars. They descend from tough old gals.
True. They can be, chosen for the right figure type. It’s when they are chosen for the wrong figure type that they look unattractive.
Sadly.Because “everybody” wears it.
Not this mama.Because “I want it” and Mom must gives in and gives her what she wants, so Mom will be liked.
So unflattering.Because Mom is wearing it, too.
Cute, cute, cute- on the right woman. All that skirt would make 5’4" me look like a doorstop.
No, not on the right woman, on you…a 5’4" doorstop made in the image and likeness of God. That is what matters, does it not? I am 5’4" too, and the way I look is the way I look. No fashion magazine showing emaciated women of tall stature should be the guideline of what looks good.
No we won’t!wow. a twenty-one page thread on jumpers.
gues what this means?
its official now. the people on this forum will debate about anything.![]()
Ha, ha, ha! So cute!Someone asked about the patron saint of jumpers.
LYDWINA of Schiedam is the patron saint of ice skaters, and they jump (lutz, axel, loop, flips, salchows, walleys, etc.)
