I’ve never heard anyone say FDR lied about being wheelchair bound before.
I believe Trump would have pressured Ms. Daniels to have an abortion, something that would make him just as guilty as she would have been. Don’t think he’s as pro-life as you like to think:
According to the tapes, he told the talk show host that when Maples informed him about the pregnancy, he said: “Excuse me?, I didn’t know about this?”
When Stern asked him for more details about his relationship with Melania, later in the interview, Trump said that he wanted Tiffany to be “taken care of.”
Even though the tapes do not mention the word ‘abortion,’ it is implied through his statements that he considered that there was more than one option in dealing with this unprecedented pregnancy and that he would have preferred abortion above any other.

During his four terms as president, Roosevelt often used a wheelchair in private, but not for public appearances. News photographers cooperated in concealing Roosevelt’s disability, and those who did not found their camera views blocked by Secret Service agents, according to the FDR Presidential Museum and Library’s website.

There was a general agreement (that couldn’t exist today) that the papers wouldn’t publish pictures of Roosevelt that made it clear that he was disabled, and Roosevelt took care to arrange his public appearances so that it wasn’t obvious, but mostly people knew.
Polio was, in those pre-vaccine days, commonplace, unfortunately.

Jones was an advisor to President Obama who was kind of hounded out of office by the right because of his youthful association with some left-wing groups. I mentioned him in a hasty bit of whataboutism in response to your “guilt by association” comment. Probably not a very insightful or thoughtful response on my part.
I like him. He’s still quite progressive, but I remember him on CNN delivering an impassioned defense of Trump voters to the liberals on one of those panel shows who weren’t quite getting it, and attributing only the worst motives to those voters.
He’s a smart, insightful guy.
