Isn’t that what Jesus did?You answer a question with a question?
Isn’t that what Jesus did?You answer a question with a question?
To continue answering questions with questions really seems on your part to be avoiding answering? I really don’t believe our Lord answered questions with questions to avoid giving his truth.Isn’t that what Jesus did?
Do you really think it’s reasonable for me to have to dig through hundreds of posts for you? Please answer this question.
Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds.
You answered you already addressed this one. Please help me out. Where was it posted and addressed?
I’ve read through them and cannot find it or where as you say it’s been addressed. BTW, you’ve answered another question with a question.Do you really think it’s reasonable for me to have to dig through hundreds of posts for you?
Well, how about that?BTW, you’ve answered another question with a question.
Oh my goodness!!! Wow, it is so eye-opening to see how far one can stray from the Gospel when one relies on man-made traditions instead of on Scripture and the preaching of the Apostles. I’m sorry, but I just don’t see how anybody with even a passing familiarity with the New Testament can believe that sin doesn’t separate us from God.Precisely the problem with the Roman Catholic doctrine of infused righteousness. Once you understand that being born again means that you have a new nature, you can no more reject your salvation that a fish can reject being a fish.
Me neither.Oh my goodness!!! Wow, it is so eye-opening to see how far one can stray from the Gospel when one relies on man-made traditions instead of on Scripture and the preaching of the Apostles. Denying to answer questions is not really sharing your beliefs someotherguy. Answering questions with questions the way you are really does seem to be avoiding the questions we are putting forth.Me neither.
Understood and agreeI wouldn’t go so far as to say that we don’t still have the desire to sin, but that our attitude is toward sin is much different.
Whereas, before, we gladly served sin, we now recognize our tendency toward it, but fight against it, and instead of reveling in it, like we once did, we’re now heartbroken by it.
I like the way Todd Friel describes it as being the difference between falling into a lake and diving into a lake.
Yes we are, where does it say again and again ad nauseum? It doesn’t say such a thing, that would be rather silly. That is reading into the verse something that’s not there, even as a Catholic I never believed such an outlandish thing. Thanks for answering, but I was asking the other person his definition…
My point being, we aren’t just “born again” once, and that’s it, we’re done.
Are Catholics and Protestants who pulled Protestants away from their Protestant Faith in danger of going to Hell? Are non-Catholics and Protestants who pulled Catholics away from their Catholic Faith, in danger of going to Hell?
So, when Jesus answered questions with questions, was He avoiding the questions, too?Denying to answer questions is not really sharing your beliefs someotherguy. Answering questions with questions the way you are really does seem to be avoiding the questions we are putting forth.
I couldn’t really vote because the question seems to say that catholics are in no danger of being sent to Hell…Are Catholics and Protestants who pulled Protestants away from their Protestant Faith in danger of going to Hell?
(Maybe if I flip the question you can see the implicit arrogance it contains)
Exactly. There is more to our salvation than just arguing over who Daddy loves more.
My bible does not say that. And if you think it does then your not reading the whole thing. Which one are you reading? The scriptures say to seek out your faith with fear and trembling…that’s not an over night thing to do.The Bible says that we are.
My my we have such a high regard for oneself. Placing yourself up with the Savior I see. Wow! Does He know you’ve invited yourself to sit at His right hand. So, when Jesus answered questions with questions, was He avoiding the questions, too?
When did I do that?My my we have such a high regard for oneself. Placing yourself up with the Savior I see.
Are you familiar with Ephesians 2?Does He know you’ve invited yourself to sit at His right hand.![]()
Then you’re reading the wrong Bible. My bible does not say that.
No, actually, I’ve been studying the whole thing for about twenty years now.And if you think it does then your not reading the whole thing.
KJV.Which one are you reading?
Actually, the Bible never says how long that takes. The scriptures say to seek out your faith with fear and trembling…that’s not an over night thing to do.
Are you familiar with the Bible even? Apparently you have left out Jesus reply to his apostles…When did I do that?
When you replied that Jesus answered questions with question. I winked at you, but if you’re really serious, I’ll have to turn my graduation ring around and just bop you on the head like a good senior does to a freshman.
Are you familiar with Ephesians 2?

KJV.
See above. Once I had an entire library of comentaries, Lexicons, Biblical History, Jewish traditions, Greek & Hebrew Lexicons, Josephus and Philo, etc. I donated them all to one of our churches.

The bible says what I quoted. And you’re partly right. We go through daily conversion. That is scriptural. It’s prudent to watch out for Pride. Pride is Satan’s favorite tool to use against the proud.Actually, the Bible never says how long that takes.
Gotta go. The wife doesn’t like me hanging out on the boards too much. But I love to throw the shocker out to bible only Christians that believe they have all the answers and know scirpture more than others. It’s kind of fun. If you want a real challenge, go here => coctocatholic.com/forum/ Not that the Catholics here can’t handle you. But the forum I gave you is mostly conversts from solo scriptura. Some are Orthodox. Most are Catholic now.
You compare yourself to our Lord? And, you still avoid answering direct questions. Does this mean you do not have an answer? So, when Jesus answered questions with questions, was He avoiding the questions, too?
