In my state the consequence of voting for a third party is no different than voting for Trump. So why should I be concerned about consequences?

No it won’t. Do you really think some other Repub would not have been assailed the same way Trump is? If the Clinton syndicate had to simply invent something against, say Bush or Santorum or Rubio, they would have done it without fail.
They might not have had a vulgar audio tape (following which he was a perfect gentleman toward a lady they greeted) but they would have come up with salvo after salvo. Remember Romney’s “dog on the roof scandal”? Remember the totally fake “Romney doesn’t pay taxes” lie? And, of course, the Obama people made a lot about the “47%” tape.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton supports anti-Catholic organizations, sells the country out, lets every foreign hacker read top secret information, hires thugs to start fights at Trump rallies, and tells lie after lie, and we blame Trump because the media ignores Clinton’s misdeeds?
It is exactly because the Clintonians and their media servants made such a big deal out of trifles (while they were committing crimes the media ignored) that some are motivated to vote third party.
I’m willing to believe, and do believe, that third party prolife voters are naïfs, not willing supporters of Clinton’s goals. But naivete is curable, and should be self-cured. It might not be too late for some.

I fully expect my district to go 80% for Trump; perhaps more. So my vote doesn’t matter in a way. But I’ll be there voting for him, not because it will make the difference even in my district, but because if I don’t, I’ll know for the rest of my life that I didn’t do what was within my power to do to oppose Clinton.

But instead Republicans gave the Democrats Trump, so there was no need to manufacture anything.
Yet again, voters aren’t upset because Trump is “vulgar.” I myself have used worse language. I haven’t, however, bragged about sexually assaulting anyone.
They aren’t trifles.
If people who normally would have voted Republicans can’t morally do so in this election, only Republican voters themselves can be held responsible for providing such a sub par candidate.

I think we have two remember two facts. First, Trump is morally questionable in that a faithful Catholic cannot vote for him on his own merits, but only because Hillary is worse. Second, he has zero chance of winning in my state. Given this, there is no reason to vote for him.

Its a fact though - that no third party candidate has ever made any real showing - the closest was Ross Perot …
This year we had a major third party candidate who had been elected to the US Senate multiple times for nearly a decade via his third party … that man was Bernie Sanders - the longest serving INDEPENDENT in the US Senate …
When Bernie Sanders decided to run for the Presidency - why did he not seek to run as an Independent and win the nomination as the Independent Party’s nominee?
That is a serious question for those who say their third party vote is serious and people just need to think seriously about voting third party …
He would certainly be the Independent Party nominee - He would have won handily against any primary challenger … But even with arguably the most main stream alternative party with national recognition and organization - and his own record and name recognition - **The answer of course is Sanders knew if he was going to be President - he had to run from one of the two major parties … **
The other thing I hear every 4 years is a desire to send a message … That messages is never sent and never received … Most third party candidates are sore losers and spoilers - if any message is sent - thats it - a spoiler… they take votes from the to major parties - thus if an election is close [think Bush V Gore] they can impact the election if the politics of the 3rd party candidate is more aligned with one of the major parties and this robs that candidate of those votes they would have received.
The thing that bothers me about those who want to abandon the 2 party system is they never work to create this magical perfect party the day after the presidential election … they never put forth candidates at the local and state level … you are never going to win a presidential election if you cant win a Mayor or State Office … put your time and money and efforts into making your utopia real in the next presidential election - this one is upon us - only one of two candidates will win - its Trump or Hillary …
And I go back to Sanders … he did not run as an INDEPENDENT … and in reality - even as an Independent in the Senate - was he? Was he really an Independent - who did Sanders Caucus with? the Answer is the Democrats. he was a Democrat without the label - now he has the label - but for how long?

A third party has never made a major showing because the public cannot get past their fear of the ‘other side’ winning. And both sides play on this to secure their votes. The candidate of the two major parties is a privileged position in a system that claims to level the field and give a voice to the people.
But when you have to compromise yourself you no longer have a voice.
So the question is - Are we voting out of fear or are we voting our faith?

Which begs the question … where are you in building this third party that can compete … .where are you - your time and money in creating this party … there exists many third parties - where were you in the years leading up to this election in building up the one third party that could make this a three way race?
That is my point - the Independent Party is nationally known and recognized and gets people elected to offices at the local, state and federal level … has for years but they are not competitive … why?
Its because all the 4th year [and only 4th year] Presidential Election 3rd Party Voters [who only vote 3rd party then because their guy lost] want to send a message - then fall right back on the status quo … right after they lecture everyone on the evils of the two party system and whats wrong with it …
I am not against a 3rd party vote … its this after the primary and conventions - jump on the band wagon for this or that person that has no chance of winning, is not even on the ballot in all 50 states, gets no real vetting, no air time - all you really know is whats on their web page …
… and then they whine about not getting to be on the debate stage … sheeshDo something real … get competitive … I still say - you think your thrid party vote means something …
Answer me why Bernie Sanders - the longest serving Independent in the US Senate - made the decision not to run as an Independent on the Independent Presidential Ticket for the 2016 Presidential Election? Why?

Well …I would argue that the War on Poverty makes it easy for unmarried sex … Read Star Parker’s book Uncle Sam’s Plantation and you might be able to make the connection … but there are those who will vote Democratic because of their liberal policies that make it possible for men to father babies with women they have no intention of marrying nor providing for … often times multiple children with multiple women … our policies provide medical care, housing and food allowance - rewarding this behavior
Any and all attempts to limit policies or funding for the “social safety net” is viewed as evil, mean, and wrong - in fact even labeled as being against the Church’s teaching …
… I guess you have to reward fornication and unmarried sex … just like some people think maintaining those programs and forcing Nuns to pay for Birth Control Pills are more important public policy than ending millions of abortions.

Actually Trump is also for planned parenthood. He says he no longer likes the fact they do abortions, but he still thinks they do great work. Prior to all this he supported their cause outright, including abortion.

You can’t vote for Hillary if you are a serious Catholic - clear as can be. No third candidate can beat Hillary, only Trump. So If we can’t vote for Hillary we have to vote for Trump in order to be sure Hillary isn’t elected. Please look at the platforms of both parties…Christians, especially Catholics will be persecuted if Hillary gets in sad to say. She has clearly stated that their should be laws about what you can believe- it will not be your choice either. It will be dictated. Oh how I wish you could all read the book by Gabrielle Kuby ( The Global Sexual Revolution Destruction of Freedom in the Name of Freedom) If time does not permit you to read this book before you cast your vote go to EWTN and look under the Radio show called The Good Fight and look for Gabriele Kuby or google her…it gives you a glimpse into the progressive movement and their global plans… Hillary know those involved in this and it’s frightening until you pray and ask for our Lord’s peace. Still…we need to be I formed so check this out! As our Blessed Mother of the Church has said, " pray,pray,pray"!!!
