Evangelicals don’t hesitate to vote according to their religious beliefs or act contrary to them when in office. Neither should Catholics.

That was then this is now…a lot has changed in forty some years…

Catholics in office should not hesitate to act contrary to their beliefs? News to me.

Who are they gonna vote for, a Democrat? 😆
They endorsed Carter.
And look at him now!

Should Kamala Harris pay reparations? - The Spectator World
Should her father, whose ancestors also owned slaves, be taxed based on his degree of descent from slave-owners?
Why all this interest in the slave owning ancestors of Kamala Harris? Many African Americans probably have some slave owning ancestors. According to a study in the American Journal of Human Genetics, the average African American has 24% white European ancestry. I’m sure that a lot of those white ancestors of European descent were slave owners.

'Cause they’re going to have to pay reparations to themselves! 😂

It’s an effort to discredit her as not really ‘black’, which is really nasty when you think about it.

It wouldn’t be a big deal if there wasn’t such a big push to have a “slave descendent” as a president/VP. As such, being a descendent of the opposite end of the spectrum should be fair game to criticize.
But most African Americans are probably descendants of both slaves and slave owners. It’s well known that many slave owners slept with their slaves. That’s where many African Americans get that 24% white ancestry. Even Martin Luther King, Jr. almost certainly had ancestors who were slave owners.

Correct, which is why the whole concept of ancestry tests is very silly. Since that is the case, though, it is equally silly to choose a VP simply because she has a certain skin color.
Perhaps, but I’m sure that the white descendants of slave owners did much better in life than their African American descendants.

That’s assuming that’s all they considered but probably other factors played a role as well.

Aren’t White Catholics more diverse in their voting patterns? Do statistics reveal that most of them voted for Trump and are likely to do so again?

Sure but what does that have to do with the choice of president or VP? I’m sure kids in the math club had a harder childhood than the MBAs, but probably the latter would make better lawmakers.
The choice of VP has to do with whether that person will help the ticket win the election. If picking a woman of color will help turn out more women and more people of color on election day to vote for your ticket, then it seems like a wise thing to do.

Do you mean that Evangelicals support Trump because of his godly moral values? Really?

Biden lurching as an extreme leftist, again:

These year-end statistics cover Harris’s record during the 2019 legislative year (Jan 3, 2019-Dec 31, 2019) and compare her to other senators serving at the end of that period. Last updated on Jan 18, 2020.

Ranked most liberal compared to All Senators

Joined bipartisan bills the least often compared to Senate Democrats
