But if a pattern were noticed that students with a disability tend not to perform as well academically them that might be the sign of a problem that needs to be addressed. Being blind to then disability could result in being blinda to a systematic problem.
I just come back ‘ cause you left me thinking…
As controversial as it may be, in the best interest of the children, why do you have to pick the variable of race?
When students don’t perform as well,no matter the race, just children…
How varied, creative are we to tackle differences, differentiation ?
Am I catering for different levels of ability?
Am I aware of providing a child centered education?
Is my planning catering for the kinesthetic, the visual, the auditive…?
Is learning being meaningful for this child?
How is timing working for each?
How can I improve ?
And there are so many questions even about temporary family circumstances, personal confidence, I mean… when all the children are “ one couloured” and they are because they are children…
there are the ones that need this, the ones that need that, the ones that prefer this, the ones that learn better that way…
Each of them one by one…
The systematic problem may be the way it is approached.
It wouldn’t harm to give a different approach, some different light a try. Without race form filling…for some time at least?
Peace… and thanks, ThinkingSapien.
