Bombs found at Clinton’s N.Y. home and Obama’s D.C. residence

I haven’t read the entire thread, so if I’m repeating what someone else has said, I apologize.

As of this morning, a total of nine “bombs” have been discovered, all addressed to high-ranking Democrats (and I would include the CNN chief in that number). None of them has exploded, for one of two possible reasons: 1) the “bombs” were intentionally constructed to not explode, leading to a possible conclusion that this is a false flag operation; or, 2) the bomb maker is a total doofus who doesn’t know how to make bombs. But if the bomb maker were a doofus, why hasn’t he blown him/herself up yet?

Also, who sends pipe bombs to people who never open their own mail?

Enquiring minds want to know.

It is also worth noting the ‘bombs’ have a clock on them. If some went through the mail how is a clock going to work as a means of detonating? And I stress clock. From what I understand this is only a clock and not an alarm. You’d need an alarm to have the ‘bomb’ detonate at a certain time.

Not a lot about this makes sense. It sure doesn’t seem like whoever is behind this actually wanted to kill or harm the alleged intended targets.
 
Well, so long as you can blame the Dems, that’s all that really matters.

It’s not suspicious in the least. Really. Like any politician, Schumer and Pelosi are always ready to go on camera.

I had some issues with the content of their remarks. While I agree that President Trump is all too quick to condone or even encourage low-level violence on the part of his supporters, and I do wish he would think more before he speaks, he certainly isn’t responsible for these bombings.

That said, maybe we’ve all gotten a little too comfortable with excessive rhetoric and conspiracy theories. I think (I hope) we can all agree with that. Although I’m saddened to see that in this very thread some are whipping up new conspiracy theories.

What do you think, 7?

It is certainly very strange. Someone felt safe enough around the bomb pictured below that they took a picture of it. I guess someone in a bomb suit could have taken it, but that would be curious. Why would the government release photographic evidence? They normally do not for many reason.

Also, Brennan is mispelled. And the return address, which you can’t see, spells Florida as ‘Florids’.

Personally this just looks to me like a student’s clock was mistaken for a bomb. That has been known to happen before.

I make mistakes like that all the time with my label maker. (And with my phone)!

How can we know if the investigation isn’t done yet? If we have no idea who did this we can’t say anything about who or who is not responsible?

Sure, but if you are going to mail bombs you definitely want to get the address part right. This ‘bomber’ either isn’t very competent or wants to seem dumb.

As one of the board’s token lefties, I’ll go out on a limb here and say that I’m sure that President Trump did not commit these bombings.

I don’t think he did either. But if he has been conspiring with Russia to undermine American democracy, as many on the left claim as does a special investigation, then anything is possible.

Some nut case mails bombs to two Democratic ex-presidents, one Democratic ex-Senator and Secretary of State, one lefty billionaire, and assorted other Democrats, and you’d attribute it to the Democrats.

So I guess you’re going with the “false flag” theory?
 
I’d even narrow it down to 40 years. The Republican Party of today isn’t the one of Ronald Reagan.

I just also want to mention that the locations of the bomb deliveries in NYC are very congested areas.

God forbid they had gone off.
 
Be assured that if it is a Conservative behind this that will be made known ASAP if it turns out to be a leftist then it will be crickets…
 
I am, and I can think of no reason at all. It’s an international story now, its domestic terrorism. This seems like little more than a “woe is us, us poor conservatives” kind of post, a sort of deflection to minimize what has transpired.
