By 'Papist" if you mean a supporter of the Pope then I’m guilty as charged.

I don’t tell you right from wrong, the Church does. If you care about your eternal destination then you should too.

Sodomy is a sin. If you repent God may have mercy on your soul. What’s more important? A few years of lustful relief here on Earth or eternal salvation? Judge yourself accordingly while you still can. May God have mercy on your soul.

Sin is not rational. It is black and white. That is why Jesus set up a Church. Otherwise He could have left everything to personal interpretation. If that was the idea then why did He come down here and preach for three years?

The “do it if it feels right” mentality has been proven wrong time immortal. Homosexuality may be natuarally occuring but it is not natually self sustaining. Cancer is naturally occuring but that doesn’t make it a good thing to be replicated.

Actually, its’ right. There are all KINDS of ‘sins’ that are no longer sins. Marrying a Jew? Used to be forbidden. Used to be a sin (cf the Lateran Council of 1215). Being a Protestant? Used to be a sin. Accepting freedom of religion? Forbidden until John Courtney Murray and Augustin Cardinal Bea convinced the 2nd Vatican Council otherwise.

So how many examples do you need to show your position is illogical?

And ultimately it’s irrelevant WHAT you think sin is. There’s no reason why YOUR view of sin must be imposed on others. You have yet to justify that.

And the ‘self sustaining’ argument is illogical. If homosexuality has a biological basis (and it may), then it IS self sustaining. Imposing a ‘sustaining’ requirement on a relationship is just as relativist as any other imposition.

Incorrect. You simply have chosen to impose YOUR view of what I’ve said over my view of what I’ve actually said.

What is ‘promoting’ the homosexual lifestyle? Those are weasel words devoid of meaning.

What I am REALLY ‘promoting’ is the right of everyone, including Catholics and gays, to live their lives free of arbitary inteference from others. If you, as a Catholic, believe being gay is a sin, fine. Go with it. But you have NO right to affect the lives of others based on that belief. Otherwise, I have a right to impose my views on your personal lifestyle based on my beliefs.

God knows, you wouldn’t want that! But you insist you have the right to affect others.

Take up your opposition with Him.

Again, I’ll tell you that we pray for your conversion. The few years spent here on Earth do not merit eternal damnation.

Actions have consequences. Free will has responsibilities.

Follow God’s Will, not man’s.

Papist doesn’t mean ‘supporter of the pope’. It means an ignorant, cowering stupid person who blindly follows superstitions attributed to the ‘whore of Babylon’ Catholic church. A classic anti-Catholic idea.

Pot, meet kettle. Aren’t you doing exactly the same in imposing YOUR view of right and wrong (and finding us Catholics “ignorant, cowering, stupid etc.”? ) So your ‘right’ trumps all others, eh, but that isn’t ‘superimposing’ YOUR view onto us? Why not?

I’m not imposing my views on anyone. Simply stating Church teaching. The Church is immortal, beyond you and me. It was here before us and will be here after us. If supercedes America, Britain, Rome, or anyother man made government. Christ’s law is natural law and natural law states two men should not have sex.

I am. Gays do not have the right to marriage or child bearing. Nor reception of Holy Communion if they are practicing the gay lifestyle.

How do you define “sodomy”? I read two diff documents now from the Vatican, and I can’t really get a straight answer (no pun intended). Does the RCC comment directly on specific sexual acts between married partners or not? Everything I have read thus far has been in general/abstract terms about lust versus love, etc.
