A quick google search reveals that is nowhere in the Bible.“Ringil, go and take that wealthy man’s money, lay it down, and tell him to follow me”![]()

Shoot, not even the government does that. Thanks to Obama deciding to make the budget wait until after the election, sequestration is coming to the intel and defense communities (more defense than intel). Tens of thousands of jobs are going to gutted, at a time when we already have record unemploymentThere are example of those who put their employees first but I’ll grant you, such is not the majority.
You are free to believe that those who believe in a more just distribution of resources are envious.Envy…Everytime!
Again, we have a president calling Romney a liar, Biden telling minorities they will be slaves under Romney, and Paul Ryan being accused to pushing granny over a cliff. My 15 cent comment in based on some pizza firm’s (forget which) exec’s statement, that Obamacare for their employees would result in pizzas costing the customer more. I’m guessing that $0.15 per pizza would not break the company’s bank account or drive customers away…
As for this CEO’s bravery, how much courage does it take to switch off the lights, put on a creepy mask and scare a toddler out of his mind? That’s about as much bravery as I see here.![]()
Probably the same as the number of workers who put their bosses first. Those are not a majority either.
I think that is a pretty restrictive definition. After all, this guy started to build a large house that he couldn’t afford to finish. What size house he has is his business, but if he starts to build what he can’t afford to finish it does suggest that he is a bit of a fool.Whenever anyone talks about how much money someone else has and how they spend it is always about envy.
I truly appreciate your response. I’ll just say that the perception of helping or hurting is a fine line. While this guy may not have done things the way I would have doesn’t change what I think he was trying to do. He was trying to relate to his people the reality of the current situations in America; we are regulating and taxing our companies out of the borders. It’s not greed to run from regulation and taxation which causes your company to not be able to compete for profit.Sounds like you are a good Boss. Your former statement that this guy is “brave” for “standing up to his employees”, sends a real message- at least to me- it doesn’t seem to relect how you are personally running your business.
I was in a discussion with my boss last week. He wanted to give some workers a raise, but slow time is right around the corner. He can’t get money from the banks to tide us over during this time, even though interest rates are so low, because the banks are so strict now. He has raided his 401k, and his house to keep the business afloat during the slow times. As he sat there, rubbing his forehead and eyes, the thought, “You didn’t build that” kept running through my mind.Is that the reason he can’t finish his 90,000 square foot house, because he gave all his money to charity? I do agree that whether or not he is filthy rich is debatable, since he had to divert money from his house project to keep his business afloat.
He sure did speak as you site here. I agree 100%! But where did Jesus say to take it if the person wouldn’t give it freely?Christ spoke, more than once, about how wealth can defile the soul if not used responsibly. One could say it was a re-occurring theme of his message.

I have rarely met an employee who agrees to work for free. Some, like me, will work for less than the market rate because they love their jobs.![]()
How would it be unconstitutional? Just because you don’t like something doesn’t automatically make it a violation of your rights.I am not sure about this but this sounds like it might be unconstitutional.
He has every right in the world. It’s his business. Besides, no where did he threaten anybody. For one thing, if one of his employees did vote for Obama he would have no way of knowing who that person is. If anything he is giving them fair warning that if Obama gets re-elected he might have to lay off people. That’s better than being told at the last minute you’re being canned.I really do not think he has a right to threaten termination of their jobs if they vote for Obama.
For the most part, only the government is bound by the Constitution. Private citizens can do what ever they want. For example, if you cuss out your boss during a staff meeting and you get fired, don’t think you are going to be protected on Free Speech grounds. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am strongly against Obama myself but I don’t think threatening people if they don’t vote your way is right. In all honesty, it sounds like it might even be a sin.
You’re right about the part where private citizens are mostly free to do what they want with what is theirs. If any of his 7,000 employees are fired in retaliation, they should launch a campaign to ‘suggest’ that his customers take their business elsewhere! It’s the American way - ultimately power is always in the hands of the people. How would it be unconstitutional? Just because you don’t like something doesn’t automatically make it a violation of your rights.

The “rich young man” left with all his possesions to return to his former way of life.
you know next to nothing about business. most of the companies i have worked for the owner has mortgaged his house to finance the business.some have lost the house in this economic climate.I think that is a pretty restrictive definition. Agreed.you know next to nothing about business. most of the companies i have worked for the owner has mortgaged his house to finance the business.some have lost the house in this economic climate.
Seriously. I’ve had to pay employees out of my own salary (which was that of just another employee at the time) when starting my business, until revenue started coming in. Slim pickens, and no room for error. There are sacrifices all over the map that most people willfully ignore.you know next to nothing about business. most of the companies i have worked for the owner has mortgaged his house to finance the business.some have lost the house in this economic climate.
This comment is not even worthy of a respose addressing it. Weak, you can do better.Jesus paid taxes.
Do you know how many millions of people have had their homes foreclosed on since Obama became president? Are they all fools?I think that is a pretty restrictive definition.
