So why did you respond? Is it or is it not a fact that Jesus paid taxes? Was He setting a bad example for us, when He INSTRUCTED Peter to pay? This comment is not even worthy of a respose addressing it. Weak, you can do better.![]()
And many will. But if they get canned, at least they canāt say they were not warned. The writer will continue in business as long as he is making money. If I worked for him, Iād disregard the letter.

What taxes did he pay? Does that one limited example mean anything goes?Jesus paid taxes.
All I need to know is that they were NOT a matter of personal whim or fancy. My minor was in the classics, specializing in the early Roman Empire period.
Are you aware of what type of Roman taxes existed in the 1st century?
How many times did Jesus flip tables? Does that one limited example mean anything goes? What taxes did he pay? Does that one limited example mean anything goes?
My brother-in-law is a construction worker - he works on homes that rich people buy and then want to remodel, sometimes from the ground up. As my brother-in-law says, āthese people have money. Sometimes they want things done that are expensive and when we tell them it can be done but it is going to cost, they shrug and say they want it. Or sometimes they change the plans on a half-done remodeling job and have it started over, paying for it all. Itās their money so they can spend it however they want, and I have work and they pay me decent.āi read this as an unemployed construction worker and search and find out that the house is 90,000 sq.ftā¦all i can think is some lucky guys have long term jobs building this monstrosity, bricklayers, rodmen, electricians, hvac .their arenāt a bunch of wage slaves, their skilled guys that are needed for a job this size, and there will be a lot of envious crybabies whining about the unfairness of it all.take it from me it wonāt be threats these cats will be handing out if you talk this garbage around them.a lot of blue collars are figuring out that the ivory towers are directly responsible for them getting screwed.the luxury taxes on items such as yachts,i have good friends that this affected ,they have one man lofts making sails and bimini tops that these taxes directly affect. mansions that goofs like this build support friends of mine family ,plumbers ,yard care ,nannys.and all the miscellaneous trades that keep places like this going. we are really sick of the whining of a bunch of people that have never built nothing ,have just tore down. i am grateful that these guys have jobs.
iāll bite ,what of taxes existed in the 1st century. My minor was in the classics, specializing in the early Roman Empire period.

this is a hundred thousand stories. My brother-in-law is a construction worker - he works on homes that rich people buy and then want to remodel, sometimes from the ground up. He had steady work for years but finally the downturn bit into the wealthy he works for and they are hunkering down and not spending money on the remodel jobs as they worry about new taxes and healthcare costs, so my bother-in-law is unemployed.
Just one story, but just saying.
God bless you.
Agreed, did he have capital gains? Use tax? SS taxes? What taxes did he pay? Does that one limited example mean anything goes?
Donāt forget about taking a whip to those that tick you off.
Like the poster was kind enough to point out āone limited exampleā.Donāt forget about taking a whip to those that tick you off.
That we know of. Who knows what happened after the jugs of water were turned into wine, or when the owner came back for his donkey and colt.Like the poster was kind enough to point out āone limited exampleā.![]()
Indeed. All we know is that the single occasion we are privy to, when taxes were demanded, He instructed His follower (Peter) to pay. That we know of. Who knows what happened after the jugs of water were turned into wine, or when the owner came back for his donkey and colt.
No, it does not. So what is your point about taxes? How many times did Jesus flip tables? Does that one limited example mean anything goes?
