Why do you bring up the “Wild West”? Gun violence in Chicago is many times worse than it ever was at any time in the cow towns of the west. For some reason Chicago is the one that has the strict gun control laws.

first of all, thats an anecdotal account. second, that is why i want to live there one day. i never said the erdication of violence stops with gun control. violence is an all pervasive problem and the fight against it must be present in all aspects of society.

I didn’t realize an entire class of children was killed before the shooter took his own life. Can we stop arguing about guns long enough to pray for their souls and for their families? And, for the souls of the adults whose lives were taken today, and for their families.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, please be with these families as they grieve for their children. All saints in Heaven, intercede for them. And Jesus, please welcome these precious children into Heaven to be with you forever.

Please say at least one decade of the rosary for these victims and their families.
