Musical Instrument Digital Interface. It’s a means of transmitting musical information digitally. Midi files usually end in dot-mid or dot-midi, and programs such as WinAmp can play them back through your computer’s sound card.

I don’t have any to add, but admit that since I have a computer at home again, I do sometimes pick some bad songs to download and listen to. Maybe instead of the trash music I can seek the treasure.👍

My sister-in-law is hooked on Contemporary Christian Rock music. I am trying to find her some Catholic choices as well. Can you help?

Go to this site:
Catholic Music Network
www.catholicmusicnetwork.com/

You’ll find the latest and greatest Catholic artists, along with discographies, and you can even sample some of the music before you buy!

👍 🙂
Thank you! That’s exactly what I needed!

I was listening to Notes from Above on Catholic Radio today and heard selections from John Michael Talbot’s new CD named [Monk Rock](Monk Rock). Not bad. It is suppose to be released on August 16.

I love Matt Maher. According to him, probably the only person to use “transubstantiation” in a song. He’s probably right.

I have just the music for you!!! John Michael Talbot has just released “Monk Rock”. It is about as contemporary as you can get. I love it. It is just so not “John Michael Talbot” that if I hadn’t been enjoying his music for about 30 years, I wouldn’t have believed it. Just put in Google “John Michael Talbot” and sites galore will come up. He is a musical monk who lives in a hermitage. Give it a shot, you’ll love it.

Thanks, I needed a site like this … YOU ROCK… in a Chrisitan music sorta way.👍

Tom Booth is also great. He just released a new Cd, I like it but my daughter LOVEs the very last song about JP2. Also, if you buy songs indivually and download to your computer, I love Booth’s “The fragrance prayer” --so beatuful. It was a Mother Theresa prayed.

Relevant Radio on Saturday or Sunday evenings…I think from 6-6:30 or 7 central time they have a show called “Spirit Juice” which is a sampling of Catholic pop music.

Chris Muglia is a great Catholic musician–check out his album “Innocence”. It’s got some more prayerful tunes as well as some that are just good to rock with and praise God with!

Rock on,

What about U2? I think Bono’s half-Catholic.
Half-Catholic? Isn’t that like being half-pregnant? I mean, either one is, or one isn’t, no?

Here is an Internet Catholic Radio site that offers Contemporary Catholic Music:
Sacred Heart Radio.net
Everytime I go to this site, there is always something new and interesting. Not just for music, but for news and information.

Fr. Stan Fortuna, the rapping priest. He’s a Fransiscan friar from NYC with a flaming love for God and John Paul II.
