A narrow definition is that it was an English rock movement of the early '70ās. Bands like Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer being some of the big names.I live very close to you. I also am interested in what āprogā music is.

Anglagard???A narrow definition is that it was an English rock movement of the early '70ās. Bands like Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer being some of the big names.
A broader definition is a group that uses a traditional rock lineup but incorporates elements and virtuosity from the Western classical tradition.

Iāve not heard them myself, but there seems to be more than a few Swedish prog-rock bands. I think Flower Kings is Swedish. FK has Christians in it of some kind, and on their album Unfold the Future they have a song āDevilās Playgroundā which is a scathing critique of modern morality and describes a battle between Satan and Mary and has this sweet verse:Anglagard???
And then thereās fusionā¦
As a bass player it is pretty hard not to like fusion like Weather Report and bassist Jaco.Whoās your favorite bass player/players???
quaysman said:*Uhhh, rightā¦
But Iām into other stuff tooā¦ Jazz, Classical, Folk, Acousticā¦ I have a big Praise & Worship collection tooā¦
So what kind of music are you into???

Aaaahā¦ When I was in high school and college I listened to aternative/punk musicā¦The Cure, the Smiths, ect.
Now I perfer Folk, Accoustic, Jazz and Classical. My Christian music tends to lean the way of Folk and Accoustic: Ginny Owens, Fernando Ortega.

Jen
Ohhh yesā¦*Swallowing the endless laughter
Cultivate the seven sins
Getting even altogether
Hiding from the Holy Mother
This is how you raise the Cain
This is what you teach our children
Back on duty, dog eat dog
Clueless in the Devilās Playground*

Yeah, Fernando is sublimeā¦ I saw him when he toured with Twila Parisā¦ He opened the show and then sat in as pianist for her setsā¦ Great showā¦Now I perfer Folk, Accoustic, Jazz and Classical. My Christian music tends to lean the way of Folk and Accoustic: Ginny Owens, Fernando Ortega.

Sounds like āgood timesāI used to play a Fernando song with a guitarist friendā¦ I played mandolin and then grabbed my old fiddle and āfakedā my way through the violin soloā¦ Creation Song??? ā¦been a whileā¦ I think it was the song that Kelly Willard sang harmony on (cause I remember āfakingā that too with my best āfalsettoā )ā¦
