This is what I"m talking about.
Dublindeclaration.com is an anti-abortion site that if followed will kill women. In the case of an ectopic pregnancy, the foetus attaches outside the womb, the woman will die if it’s not removed 100% of the time…approx 64000 cases per year in the USA. There are several other cases. As to the churches teachings on the subject…It depends where you read it. However, the idea is that killing of a child is wrong and I agree that our society’s approach to abortion and treating it like a haircut is intrinsically evil. The churches point of view is that at all costs we should try to save both, but if it’s 100% likely that the mother will die if the foetus is not removed and it’s 100% likely that the foetus will also die, I see that the only course of action is to remove said foetus. The church believes that it’s OK to remove a cancerous womb and kill a foetus…I just read that online. Part of the problem is the language used to express their views on abortion is so vague that it’s difficult to figure out what they are saying…they seem to go out of their way to say “Let the mother die” in a politically correct way. Sometimes it’s one or the other…who should decide that?
