I don’t belive in “trickle down.” That’s just a class warfare misrepresentation of sound fiscal policy. I don’t envy “the top.” I want solutions that will result in a stronger economy, balanced budget, and eventually paying down our debt so our country doesn’t collapse. Personally, I like the Fair Tax, but I know it has no hope of being implemented. Some sort of simpler tax code would be good.
17% flat tax, no deductions, first $36,000 tax free.

Do they have a death wish in the Party of Death? Clearly the majority of Americans have at least a basic pro life stance. I don’t think they are going to win many votes by talking up a taxpayer funded abortion program. Even those who aren’t pro life are not for more tax dollars going to this cause

SOOOO disappointing to see that Mayor Cory Booker is the speaker at that Pro Abortion “rally” (the few, the proud) I had thought well of him overall and thought he might be a rising star on a more national basis.

The Dems are so invested in the pro abortion/gay marriage stance that it defies reason.

How do you determine the income of self employed people? If you are going to allow them to have deductions against their gross income why them and not everybody else? If I make 36,001 do I pay the 17% of the entire amount or just the $1?

Hoo…I’m dizzy from reading all that spin. :whacky:

Naturally,I don’t believe a word of it, just like you would never believe a word of what I think. You would think it was just as much spin.

Well. it’ll all be over in a couple of months and we can move on with our lives.
Where’s the “spin” in knowing the Democrat party platform endorses abortion on demand and homosexual “marriage”? It just does, period. Nothing more to know about that.

Where’s the “spin” in knowing the HHS mandate requires Catholic institutions to pay for contraceptive and abortifacient coverage or pay a fine? That’s just the way it is, and Democrats don’t even deny it.

Where’s the “spin” in knowing the Obama administration sued the Lutheran Church and argued in front of the Supreme Court that the government has the right to determine who Lutheran ministers are regardless of what the Lutheran Church thinks? All nine justices thought Obama’s argument was a crock and an undue burden on religious freedom, and said so. Read their opinion. That’s no “spin”. That’s just reality.

And does anybody really think “Cash for Clunkers” benefitted anybody other than people who could afford brand new cars? And didn’t they destroy the “clunkers”? Where’s the spin in that? That’s just exactly what happened.

I notice that you refuted none of it.

But no, I don’t expect you to believe a single word of it. I dont’.
The cash for clunkers porgram removed millions of Obama/Biden 2008 bumper stickers from Americas highways.

For Democrats, jubilant days of 2008 are distant memory
Governing is tough…it tends to knock the “boyish enthusiasm” out of all those who are elected and their parties. I sure you’ve noticed how all presidents age at what seems to be a disproportionate rate.

The Democrats are faced with a sober convention, but I doubt it will be somber. Just not the high school pep rally it was in 2008.

Obama has to defend a record of nearly $5 trillion in new debt and 8% plus unemployment for over 40 months, when in 2008 Obama could blame Bush. Bound to put a dampener on things

He can still play Mitch McConnell’s quote about the number one priority for the GOP being making sure that Obama is a one term president. Some people might think that the number one priority should have been serving the American people who elected them.

What undecided voters are going to care what Mitch McConnell said? Obama is president and his record is on the bench not McConnell’s
