do you have to be Catholic to get into Heaven??

Yes. But Jesus wants unity and oneness among us.

We are separated by doctrinal differences, and the world cannot know His full power in us because of this. The bishop of Rome is the symbol of the unity in the church founded by Christ.

Actually the bishop of Rome is a symbol of disunity. Disunity with the Orthodox, disunity with the Coptic, disunity with the Ethiopian, disunity with the Protestants.

to believe in Jesus means doing everything he says… not just what we want to believe…
 
What I find it amazing is that catholics claim they gave the bible it’s authority, in the mean time still maintaining that its author is god and they setup the CC as authority over god if not equal too but wait, jesus is their lord, so their whole world view comes crumbling down in a contradiction.

then they say you cannot believe anything if not on the word of the CC yet if we believe in god that is what the church says too right? then we demote god if we believe in god on our own, we defy the church.

Just to comfirm … it is your belief then… if Billy Graham, myself or any other non catholic christian who is well aware of the catholic faith and teachings but refuse to join the catholic church, has no hope for salvation unless we have joined the catholic church before the time of our death on earth?.

doesn’t matter what he / she believes… it is what God knows that counts…

God estalbihsed one Church… and it makes sense he would want ALL his children THERE in that powerful Church… powerful against the devil… (St Mt 16:18)…

also the Cathooic Church does NOT teach that non-C’s have no chance of getitng to Heaven… they may have a longer time in Purgatory but they can make it…

but umm… Purg is PAINFUL… so it would be best to become all that God wants… in this life rather than waiting for the big Penitentiary in the Sky (Afterlife)…

Are you saying that, if the Bishop of Rome did not exist, all these groups would be in unity with one another?

I agree that his position constitues a sign of contradiction. If there is no standard, then it is not possible to determine when it is not being met. 🤷

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another mans servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea he shall be holden up For God is able to make him stand:

The bible was authoritative as soon as the inspired books in it were written. The Church was given the authority by Christ to collect define, and propogate the inspired writings.

I am sure it would, if what you say it is true, but since it is not, no worries! Jesuss set up the Catholic Church. It is by His authority that she does anything. Do you have an authority problem?

You clearly seem to have no idea what you are talking about at all. Do you think it is really possible for humanity to “demote God”? One has to wonder what your beliefs about God may be!

Right. That is why we refer to you as one of our “separated brethren”. We are joined by the Spirit into His One Body, but you have rejected some of the teachings of the Church, not recognizing that they have come from Christ, through the Apostles. you are in the tradition of Apollos. 😃

Well said Tweety! This is why we are not allowed to judge one another. Only God sees the heart of a person. We are commanded to make discernments about behavior, but it is up to Him to judge the heart.

This is why I say, when I point out that your expressions are not Catholic, that I am not judging you, but the content of your posts. 👍
