As I said previously, I try and leave emotionalism out of the equation. I’m about Keeping things like this, clinical and objective. His actual accomplishments are not hyperbole.
and what are those?

I meant the three Fox prime time shows.

Tucker, Hannity, and Ingrahm

I’ll try and condense this

Ever hear of the Mexico city policy? Well Trump’s expansion of it is great . Not a Trump friendly article. They probably hate his guts for this. The guy is actually doing what he said he would do when he was on the campaign trail. As an aside, Trump wasn’t originally pro life. He changed.

BTW, I didn’t vote for Trump. I voted for someone else. But I can’t deny he as a successful business man, has done a massive amount of work against more pushback than I have ever seen

THEN

numbers can be verified much of it by the DOL (Dept of Labor)
  1. Nearly 3 million jobs have been created since President Trump took office.
  2. 304,000 manufacturing jobs have been created since President Trump took office, and manufacturing employment stands at its highest level since December 2008. Manufacturing was on life support before this.
  3. 337,000 construction jobs have been created since President Trump took office, and construction employment stands at its highest level since June 2008.
  4. Under President Trump, the unemployment rate has dropped to 3.8, the lowest rate since April 2000, and job openings have reached 6.6 million, the highest level recorded.
  5. President Trump signed the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law, cutting taxes for American families and making American business more competitive. And the economy is showing HUGE results
  6. American families received $3.2 trillion in gross tax cuts and saw the child tax credit double. I’ll always take that.
The top corporate tax rate was lowered from 35 percent to 21 percent so American businesses could be more competitive. That is HUGE
  7. Re: SCOTUS, he gave us judge, Gorsuch, and hopefully others
  8. Minorities have their lowest unemployment rates.
Not bad for 500 days

You said best of all time…

Mexico City Policy - good. Same as the last several republican pres, so nothing novel or unique to the Pres… good though

Economy - inherited an economy with momentum… deserves SOME credit, but not his boom. Same for jobs

Tax cuts? Adds a TON to the deficit … complete opposite of conservative economic policy and disproportionately benefits top tier… I count that as a negative. Like the corporate tax cut though

Judges… not really an accomplishment… more a product of timing and complete Repub. control of the government

Jury is still out… way out. Certainly not best ever though… clearly

Plus the President lies everyday … and has dragged social discourse into the toilet

You didn’t read the article.

look at what Obama said about the “new normal” after he raised taxes and imposed all kinds of restrictions

You don’t know how business and economy works

He’s flushing the toilet.

Didn’t know we were talking about Obama… either way not sure how that is relevant… I stand by my point

Okay… thanks for the reasoned, thoughtful argument … i’m not the brightest guy, but I do run an business that operates in over 100 countries … I know a little…

And as far as flushing the toilet… maybe I could accept that, but just to make room for the refill he deposits daily

I was wondering about this, so I looked it up. The decline in unemployment has been in steady declines since 2010, not 2016.

There is nothing on that list another Republican wouldn’t have done. Without the insults and attacks and lies.

When you wrote
“Economy - inherited an economy with momentum… deserves SOME credit, but not his boom. Same for jobs”

I then responded to what he inherited

Many promised but didn’t deliver. Trump delivered what He promised. And I say that’s a good thing.

That wasn’t the point. What was said,

"the unemployment rate has dropped to 3.8, the lowest rate since April 2000"

Govt stats. April 2000 https://www.bls.gov/news.release/history/empsit_05052000.txt unemployment was 3.9%

The statement was accurate

How could they? Trump won the election.
Yes he won. And look at each of the 16 Republican candidates he defeated. IOW the people made a choice between 16 longtime experienced politicians , who made all kinds of promises then and in the past, and a businessman. The people and most importantly the electoral college, which is how we elect presidents, chose Trump.

Electoral college did not elect the Republican nominee.
The people elected Trump as Republican nominee.
Trump The Republican nominee, was elected president by the electoral college.

“Unlike in other U.S. elections, the President and Vice President are not elected directly by the people. Instead, they’re chosen by “electors” through a process called the Electoral College.
The idea of using electors comes from the Constitution. The nation’s founders saw it as a compromise between electing the President by a popular vote among citizens and electing the President in Congress”.

I know it was accurate, just like one could accurately say the decline in unemployment we have began the second year of the Obama administration and continued to decline while he was in office. Statistics can be a matter of which statistics are reported. Even truth and facts can be presented with a bias. That does not make them fake.

It is up to all to listen to the news with discernment. For example, when I read the above statistic, I looked at the bigger picture.

There is usually a lag between the time a candidate takes office and implements policy and when those policies affect the economy.
