Yes and if a woman gets a “calling from G-d” she also will need to find another calling. If one flunks out of seminary, the calling will change also.Poll after poll has shown that a very large number of catholic priests favor an option to marry. More then half of all catholics in the USA believe priests should have the option to marry. Its very obvious the catholic church is out of touch with its laity and its priests. Should all of these priests be excommunicated for their honesty. Why can’t nuns marry? Why can’t a man become a nun? We have men doctors/women doctors. We have female nurses/male nurses. The church keeps the devout in line with FEAR/GUILT and the possibility of committing a sin. Thats sad, but it works for the church.
Code:The catholic church says men will receive a calling from god to become a priest. If a married man got a calling from god the catholic church would trump god and say "no your not, we make the rules".....UNBELIEVABLE!!
Now to my point…if the polls of priests regarding this matter are overwhelmingly in favor of priests being allowed to marry…then maybe the rules would be changed, but the implications are complicated in the extreme…too complicated to cover in a post. I heard and cannot document…that most priests are satisfied with the current rules. Whatever the decision in the future I will not change my opinion of our hardworking and dedicated priests.
You are an anti Catholic invincibly ignorant bigot. The question I have for you is…how does our Churches “rules” effect you? If you aren’t affected…why do you whine about them…just worship whatever you do or do not worship and leave us happy members and believers alone in our “sadness”.
