It doesn’t matter what we think of ‘these’ people or even like ‘these’ people. God lifts certain individuals to occasions for His particular use. We know this to be true about the Saints.

That comes from Dispensation theology, where Revelation is supposed to take place literally, in the order laid out in Revelation, where there is supposed to be a treaty between Israel and the Man of Sin that is supposed to last 7 years. It results in peace in the Middle East, but it’s broken by the Man of Sin after three and a half years.

I’ve never heard of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. I will look around the internet to see what I can find

update Rabbi Cain is promoting a time of global prayer and return to God.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this.

In 2012, Cahn published “The Harbinger”. Now, at the time, I thought it was a non-fiction book, but apparently it’s a religious novel. It compare the attack on 9/11 with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Assyrians in 701 BCE and provides 9 parallels (or harbingers) with those events and current events. I will confess, I never read the book but have read various summaries and I find his arguments compelling.

What makes it more compelling, is that he recently released “The Harbinger 2”. The conquest and destruction of Jerusalem (which was the capitol of the Southern Kingdom Judah) was in 701 BCE actually started 20 years earlier with the Assyrian conquest of the Northern Kingdom Israel, based in Samaria in the year 720 BCE. G_D gave Judah 20 years to repent and return to Him. Instead, they defied G_D, and they lost everything. If the Harbingers still hold, then it’s been almost 20 years since America recv’d its warning, and we have ignored G_D and have not repented.

Now, I say “almost” 20 years. Sept. 11 in 2001 was the first day of the Feast of Rosh HaShanah, the first day of the Jewish calendar. That’s the day when all debts are repaid and retribution is exacted. This year, Rosh HaShanah begins at sunset on Sept. 18 and ends at sunset on Sept 20.

I’m not looking forward to next weekend. Shanah Tovah

If weather is a harbinger, there are currently 6 storm cells brewing in the Atlantic.

Hmmm… 6 is the number for evil, as it is 1 less than 7, which is the number of perfection. It’s why 666 is supposed to be the Number of the Beast.

So, 6 storm cells? Oy, vey.

Do you think something significant will occur?
Yes. Just what, I have no clue, although I suspect it will be something economic.

As I noted earlier, this year, Rosh HaShanah begins at sunset on Sept. 18 and ends at sunset on Sept 20. I just did some quick (HA!) checking, and according to the Jewish Encyclopedia, sunset in New York City on Sept. 18 will occur at 5:50PM, although the web site timeanddate.com puts sunset in NYC at 6:59PM. Both of those times are after the stock market closes, so whatever economic thing happens will happen after then, probably on Saturday. That makes me wonder about the storms brewing in the Atlantic.

Therese Neumann was a German stigmatic and mystic, who lived during WW2 in Bavaria. After WW2 she was visited by a group of American GIs, one who asked, " … if the United States would ever be destroyed or invaded in a war?" Her reply was, “No, but at the end of this century America will be destroyed economically by a series of NATURAL DISASTERS.” This mercy (not falling to invasion) was to be granted by G_D due to all the charity the US had shown to others since its founding.

Those of us who follow approved prophecy know that such prophecies always have an “escape clause”, which is that the disaster can be averted or delayed if the people repent of their sins and offer prayer to G_D. Sr. Lucia of Fatima once commented that a nuclear war in the 80s had been averted due to prayer. We also know from other messages that the time of chastisement being averted has passed, that out prayers and sacrifices will alleviate the sufferings. Given all the money that’s been spent on Coronavirus relief, plus all the destruction from the wildfires, it won’t take much of a natural disaster to push us over the edge into hyperinflation. (I’m thinking of another New Madrid earthquake.)

Just out of curiosity, how old is this thread? I know a lot of info was lost on the update to CAF, but I know I personally have been around for 8+ years, since my conversion to the Faith. I remember Bee Humble who used to be a frequent poster before the update🤔. Just speculating how long this thread has been speculating. And how quickly things are happening just this year alone.

Quoting from Message 1 at the top of this thread, posted on Feb 18 2020:

This is the 24th iteration of a thread that began in March or May of 2008, making this thread 11 years old.

That makes this thread 12 years old.

Yeah, I was going to bring the celebratory wine, but when I saw “…you can almost cut with a knife…” I figured I’d I’d better save it for a bris?! 🍷 🙁

I was thinking lately of the coronavirus. Corona…crown…king. Might the 3 days of darkness be a way to stop it’s spread? Also, the virus is causing conditions where large gatherings like masses may not be permitted. Could this virus outbreak lead to sacraments not being available and masses not being able to be attended? I feel like these events are speeding up in frequency and intensity. Not to mention the locusts…
I happened to be going over the stickies at the top of the thread, and yours was the first message posted after the stickies, on Feb 27. I think it was prescient, given that less than a month later that’s exactly what happened in the US, and in most of the rest of the world. I remember reading of a locutionist publishing anonymously with her bishop’s approval, bringing up the French Revolution and the destruction of the Church in France at the time. Churches closed, altars despoiled, and both priests and nuns being imprisoned and executed.

We’ve had quite a few similar examples in the world since then, most especially the Cristero Rebellion in Mexico in the 1926 to '29 – check out the movie “No Greater Glory”, and be sure to watch the credits. Each one of the photos shown behind the credits is an actual historical photo showing the people involved in the Rebellion and the ones being executed for daring to practice Roman Catholicism.

(For the record: the Rebellion ended at the insistence of Vatican officials who were worried that the Church might become extinct in Mexico, and negotiated an agreement to return to the situation before the rebellion – the Church was still prohibited by the Mexican Constitution, but the government turned a blind eye to it. The Cristeros laid down their weapons. And then the death squads started hunting them down. The hunt went on for decades. The last assassination that can be traced to the Mexican government’s war against the Cristaros occurred in Los Angeles in the mid-1950s.

Do not EVER doubt what forces we are up against.)

Yeah, but given that we’re going to be EXTREMELY limited in size due to Coronavirus limitations, perhaps we should settle for …

(… wait for it … )

… a bris-ket?

Too funny! …But seriously, we better cut the comedy before the thread gets lox-ed up.

For old me, just a little too close for comfort both location-wise and time-wise?! Speaking of that rebellion, I looked back on the gut-wrenching day-before-Thanksgiving 1927 assassination of Fr. Miguel Pro. He surely deserved sainthood!

Well, he was beatified as one of the Cristero martyrs by JP2 in 1988. I consider him a patron of actors. He frequently disguised himself as a door-to-door salesman or some worker who would have cause to enter the houses where he was expected.

Once when he was in a taxi being chased by the police, as the taxi rounded a corner he jumped out, grabbed the arm of a young lady and whispered, “I am a priest. Please help me.” The two walked down the street arm in arm, laughing like young lovers, as the police passed by.

Another time, he was catechizing and administering sacraments to a group of people in an apartment, when the building was surrounded by police. Knowing they would all be executed if found with him, he started to walk out of the apartment alone, only to be grabbed by one of the people, and had a trench coat thrown over his shoulders. Another person there put his hat on the priest, who then walked boldly out and down the stairs, acting like one of the police detectives. When he reached the door, he didn’t stop, but flashed his driver’s license at the two guards, WHO SALUTED HIM ON HIS WAY OUT!

Another sign of doom and gloom; Mad Max took place in the year 2021. Does this mean I need to buy some pelts off of Amazon before I run out of gas? 🤔

Mad Max will be in full force after elections.

Maybe the totes adorbs social justice warrior hashtags on insta can save the country.
