Adam, I beg to differ
I’m not surprised. For me, it was the ties to white supremacists and racists that turned me completely off to Marshall, Gordon and a slew of other alt-Catholic figures. When Marshall compared Muslims to bugs, he lost any good faith on my part.

Yep, that’s a blatant example of horseshoe theory. The extremes end up sharing the same dodgy unethical ideals and tactics to get what they want for their agenda’s.While we cannot name names (or scenarios) we all know that certain clergy have expressed views under this Papacy that they would never have expressed under any previous Papacies. Some of them are well known by now, and the obvious reason being they would likely get into trouble if stating their views or allowing certain things, let’s say about ten year’s ago.
If it works that way for those clergy who are, shall we say nontraditional, perhaps it will start working that way for traditional clergy also?
Sympathy for the alt right runs very high in this demographic, especially in Europe, but increasingly so in the States, too.there is just a shared fundamental ideal that finds sympathy in this religious bent.
Yes, his interview with Faith Goldy was awful. For me, it was the ties to white supremacists and racists
McCarrick scandal was and still is a big problem for a lot of Catholics. Then he became very strangely radically different from the start of Francis’ pontificate.
You need to be very careful that you do not descend down the same rabbit hole that they have, that is not a very nice comment to make especially considering Marshall has done countless videos denouncing sedevacantism.ioannes_pius:
Agreed. His sympathies seem to be changing quickly.I predict that Dr. Marshall will become a sedevacantist within the next 10 years.
I disagree, Bishop Schineder has met with Marshall many times and even wrote the foreword to his book Infiltration.Yes, his interview with Faith Goldy was awful.
From his conversion, until 2013, he seems to have been a normal traditional Catholic. Then he became very strangely radically different from the start of Francis’ pontificate.
I don’t think Bishop Schneider (who I DO like) will be giving him any more interviews.
Bishop Schneider is very sympathetic to the SSPX, and has publicly criticized Pope Francis for not being more accommodating to their demands:Yes, although he may worry about Marshall’s SSPX attendance.
because of the tweets? I don’t think so. Not because of the SSPX either. Bishop Schneider already discussed the SSPX with Dr. Marshall. As said above, Bishop Schneider is very sympathetic to the SSPX.I love Bishop Schneider. He’s a great defender of the Faith.
I think he might distance himself from
Marshall now.
I may do so.I would recommend if you ever have the time to read the biography of Marcel Francois Lefebvre
It’s also selfish for them to think that they are more deserving of absolution and reception of Holy Communion than the hundreds of thousands of the rest of us who are not only obeying our bishops, but looking out for the healthy well-being of our fellowmen, choosing not to entice our priests into disobedience, nor creating yet more scandal for the CatholIc Church, nor jeopardizing her financial health. May God forgive them, in spite of their deliberate irresponsibility…Tis_Bearself:
A moot point for devout, traditional, faithful Catholics. If we all followed Taylor’s lead and went there for Easter Holy Communion, it would quickly either be shut down by the authorities, or people would be getting COVID at the services.
Wow. That article is brutal and truthful.Emeraldlady:

How do you know they were disobedient or jeopardized anyone’s health? Do you know the situation of the Mass? It’s also selfish for them to think that they are more deserving of absolution and reception of Holy Communion than the hundreds of thousands of the rest of us who are not only obeying our bishops, but looking out for the healthy well-being of our fellowmen, choosing not to entice our priests into disobedience, nor creating yet more scandal for the CatholIc Church, nor jeopardizing her financial health. I read the now deleted tweets. I know what I saw and they were not very nice at all.According to Tim, this is a very naive reading of the situation. Given that he’s one of the actual players involved, I’m inclined to believe him.
