We already operate sites to imprison people who attack America and not give them due process. What’s a few more.
 
As far as I can tell, he supports those sites - as long as they are used to imprison and deny rights to the people he doesn’t like.

I mean, he cited Pinochet as an example of a moral regime. That man was so brutally repressive and murdered so many Chileans that even citing him on a Catholic website is shameful.

I said mostly moral. I didn’t say they were perfect.

Pinochet killed less people than any leftist dictator ever did.
 
They are not mutually exclusive though, communism and totalitarianism. No attempts at a CLASSLESS society can happen without a heavy hand from the state.

Someone walking down the street isn’t an insurrectionist until convicted. He’s just someone with constitutional rights on the street.

I’m with the Mayor of Portland, the Governor of Oregon, and the US Attorney for the District of Oregon. This. Is. Wrong.

Unless they have already been tried, they are not guilty.

I’m not saying the madness in Portland is okay. I’m saying that this is the United States and unidentified agents disappearing people into unmarked vehicles is the thing of totalitarian regimes.

They brought some people in for questioning, which is normal LEO action. Nothing to be alarmed about.

Considering the shootings and general anti police violence that has occurred there nightly for many weeks, using unmarked cars is very smart approach.

The only legitimate questions are whether the persons detained were treated legally. So far, I’ve heard nothing to indicate inappropriate behavior.
 
Yes, that’s what they said about Seattle too and we know where that led. But I digress, violence is a tactic which is being used by many of the rioters, so it seems extremely biased to claim only the border patrollers are.
