Harris was a young 29 woman who used her sexuality to gain job position. This is not uncommen. Women sleep with bosses all the time to gain job promotions. Cardi B was very honest and said she drugged and robbed men.

It shows who Harris is as a person.

Are you Catholic? If you are, then third party is likely the only option for those who don’t wish to vote for Trump. It is impossible for a Catholic to vote for anyone on the Democrat platform as they have made a point to stand against almost everything we believe as Catholics. I sure wish third parties would become better represented in national elections. I am sick of republicans and democrats in equal measure. Neither have ever fully represented (or even tried to represent) a sound morality. The only reason I go for Trump is because of all the lives that will be lost if Biden wins 😦

You keep making that claim. In all my years working as an engineer in both corporate and government offices, none of the women I worked with acted like this. . . . .

Do you understand that Kamala did not force her lover to have sex with her? That he was the one who had leverage over her, was giving her gifts? Of course you know that, you pointed it out yourself.

Nevertheless, when it’s a young woman being given favor by Weinstein you identify him as the problem.

When it’s a young woman named Kamala Harris who’s superior is paying her favors after having sex, you name her as the offender.

AGAIN. What law did Kamala break in having an affair? I told you many times in this thread sexual affairs, so long as they are consensual, do not matter one whit as far as qualifications for executive office.

Do you have such evidence or are you just going to keep comparing Kamala to a sexual predator in a nasty attempt to smear her?

Actually, Trump said “And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.” … not saying I approve … and obviously the entire transcript has lots of bragging - so how much is real and how much is not? - but it seems to me that Kamala Harris knew what she wanted and Mayor Brown had the “star” [also an be referred to as political position and clout, name recognition ] power to provide what she wanted …

As for conservatives and their willingness to look the other way with Trump … I think they merely acquiesced to the story line of the left - sex doesn’t matter … The left love FDR, JFK, Teddy Kennedy and Bill Clinton - love, revere, hold up as “Presidential” everyone of these sexual predators … including now Biden … so of course they love Harris … the real hypocrisy is why they were troubled about Trumps behavior at all - especially behavior that long predated any time in politics … I mean - really? Every one of these politicians - FDR, JFK, Teddy Kennedy and Bill Clinton - had sex with women other than their wives while they held political office and everyone was elected to an office more than once … three of them are known to have sexual relations while President and one was with an Intern … So the apoplexy of the left over Trump is amazingly hypocritical

And Kamala Harris will do and or say anything to benefit Kamala … it started with Mayor Brown …it has not ended … Kamala is on record that she believes Biden sexually abused women, she knows he is a racist and yet she wants to be his running mate …Of course they agree on killing babies … and maybe she lets him sniff her hair and she rubs his leg hair … who knows ???..

In my mind - they compose two very good reasons not to vote Democrat in November

Of course they did. Did you miss my criticism of Bill Clinton as a sex addict? Did you miss my statement that I believe Biden’s accuser? Obviously so, it runs counter to your narrative that liberals only cared about sex scandals when it’s Trump. Both Dems and Pubs have had womanizers, JFK being one of the worst.

But only the GOP ran an entire operation called the Moral Majority touting their supposedly superior moral standards as legitimacy to govern. I am quite old enough to recall that episode.

I don’t speak for other liberals. The only question I have repeatedly posed here on a thread dedicated to criticizing Harris on the basis of sexual misconduct is…why does it matter?

It didn’t matter when Trump was evaluated and as far as I can gather, he’s probably guilty of multiple sexual assaults because I believe his 25+ accusers as well.

So, if you ask me do I care if Trump had sex with a harem while his wife was in labor? I’d say he’s a cad but if it was legal and consensual, that’s between him, his wife, and the harem. Kamala’s affair is exactly the same.

Now, criminal behavior is different. I believe both Trump and Biden are guilty but will either ever face justice? Not likely. So, my choice is between two sex offenders.

Since this year’s vote is to me, a vote on the future of the republic, I will vote against Trump regardless. I don’t know if I will vote for Biden or third party, though I am leaning Biden because I don’t want it thrown to Trump by default.

But again sexual affairs are irrelevant. If you want to know what matters, in my view, are 167,000 dead Americans on this administration’s watch. A mismanaged pandemic where a squandered opportunity to shut down the spread through centralized planning has led to a decimated economy. A president who apparently orders unmarked police to “arrest” citizens without regard to their Constitutional rights. A president who makes “fascistic” statements (that is a direct quote from a co-founder of the Federalist Society) about delaying the election.

There are more but you get the idea. Who he’s hiding the sausage with doesn’t even matter unless again it’s involving sexual assault. Then it matters because it’s a case of breaking the law and harming someone intentionally. I have a problem with that.

So, please feel free to continue to point fingers everywhere but Trump. It doesn’t change the fact that when it comes to standards of sexual behavior, he set the bar for what conservatives find acceptable for executive office. Now that someone from the other team is playing by the same rules, social conservatives don’t get to change the rules just because they suddenly rediscovered an aversion to sexual misconduct.

Your opinion is that Trump mis-managed the pandemic … I dont believe he has … so we have a difference of opinions … since I do nt know you nor your experience and expertise to judge - I will take my opinion over yours.

As a person who has worked not only in the private sector but the military and three levels of government - County, State and Federal and who has performed emergency response to various events and situations at all three levels … I understand the authorities and the roles and responsibilities of the employees at those levels performing and working through these events and the chief executives …

So while so many are happy to play the orange man bad and evil game and in blaming Trump are in fact denigrating federal employees that are responding to this event within their program area and authority. It is not the role of the federal government [or Trump] to be the decision maker for all 50 States …

So you vote for Biden and that Republic you state you want to protect will not be protected - the future of the Republic will be in jeopardy. The rule of law will be flouted by those who seek to end any resemblance of justice and equal treatment - it may be imperfect now - it will grow more so - not less with Biden/Harris

Yes, we disagree. My opinion was not shared as an attempt to change your mind. I have no desire to tilt at windmills. Probably 95% people are already decided on who they are voting for and you and I are no different.

The point of my sharing my reasons was to give an example of what is important to me in weighing my decision. Notice that “Trump’s sex affairs” wasn’t one of them.

Because again, the question no one has answered is why does it matter if Kamala Harris shagged a married person?

It is more than that.
One woman works hard at her job, is diligent and on time, is respectful, clean and honest. She puts in a little extra time at work hoping that she may be rewarded for her diligence and hard work by advancement in her position.
A second woman does an OK average job at work, but wants to get advanced by cutting corners. In her effort to move ahead of everyone else, she parties with her boss, commits adultery with him and laughs about smoking marijuana. Oh, BTW, as she is laughing about smoking marijuana, 1500 people are sent to prison for long sentences on marijuana charges when she was the chief state prosecutor. For example, there is one pilot who was convicted of transporting marijuana and is serving 60 months in prison, while the prosecuting attorney laughs and jokes about her smoking marijuana and nothing is done about that.

Did she break any laws while having her affair? No? Then I don’t care anymore than I care who Trump favored because they were attractive.

Sexual affairs do not disqualify her anymore than they did Trump, Clinton, JKF, etc.

I saw if posted after it was announced that she was his running mate but apparently it is the well-prepared video when he asks her about being vice president. . Harris tweeted it the next morning after the announcement. Here is the full video.

I saw the video, I don’t understand why Joe was saying “Jilly, are you there?” and then someone named Dougie said, “Hi Jill.” I thought he was talking to Kamala?

Both are issues from a Catholic moral standpoint. Especially as his current marriage is to a baptized Catholic. But, yes, the affairs, alleged and confirmed, are of greater concern as even an invalid marriage shows commitment (which is always a good thing in and of itself).
