No, gay marriage simply means that Christianity is nearly dead in this country. It will never die out completely, but gay marriage is simply a sign of how weak the Christian faith is in the USA. If people were truly strong in their faith, gay marriage would not even be a remote possibility.

If you think that your ability to practice Chrisitanity dissolves when Christian Gays choose to marry, then you are probably not only a not very good American, but a poor excuse for a Christian.

“Christian Gays” (practicing gays) is a contradiction. You cannot be practicing sodomy and call it a good. Sodomy is evil.

When you look at the fact that this country already has legalized abortion, and add to it a legalized instution allowing sodomy, it shows that a Christian society is holding on by “a thread” at best (in my opinion).

their agenda is evil too. they are intimidating all of us into to believe that we are not charitable when point out that this is intrinsic evil. they want us to shut up about it so they can continue to advance their agenda. i wish that bishop had not come out against fr. rodriguez, that was a big mistake. obviously this bishop doesnt know who he is dealing with. our fight is not against flesh and blood but agaisnt principalities in high places. i hope this bishop realizes this. when we condemn sin, we are fighting against evil who is coming against God and His laws. St Paul had no problem when it came to correct people. he even said: “dont make me get my belt and go overthere…”

As a lurker, I have followed this conversation through what are now 24 pages of posts. I have been fortunate to read many thought-provoking posts by Dawn in Texas and others who want to have a meaningful discussion on the topic of gay marriage and its effect on society. I am so proud that people are speaking up – loudly and clearly against the evils of gay marriage.

Thank you Dawn for your comments – I always enjoy reading them and have learned so much! You speak from the heart with compassion and love (and always in faithfulness to the Catechism). Pay no mind to antagonistic posters like Larkin31 who try to hijack the conversation to avoid the truth and mislead others. His posts are filled with sarcasm and venom and have added nothing of value to the discussion.

My eyes have been opened to how far reaching the gay agenda is – it is indeed a scary time in which we live!

You have consistently avoiding tough questions, it seems those accusations might very well be exactly right.

For instance, I posed this challenge several times and you never did respond: if marriage can be redefined to include gays, than what legal or moral argument is there to prevent any other arrangements from joining hands in marriage?

The challenge is relevant to the topic of the end of Christian civilization because if redefining marriage to include gays also means we can include all other sorts of arrangements, than this is certainly a huge blow to Christianity in the USA.
