Seriously, this IS baffling. I said the fringey elements of traditional Catholicism can exhibit antisemitism and you’ve taken that as meaning traditional Catholics here on CAF are antisemitic? Huh?
 
I never said there aren’t antisemitic Catholics. Just skeptical of your claim that antisemitism among Catholics is on the rise, and it’s documented!

You really haven’t been paying attention to the contents of this thread. I said there are antisemitic Catholics, antisemitism is on the rise globally, and as Catholics we must confront and denounce it.

Per this logic, this thread and OP is evidence of anti-Catholic bigotry

If anyone started a thread accusing Jews of anti-Catholicism and cited “I saw some tweets” as evidence it would be rightfully shut down in 2 seconds as anti Semitic

Yet this thread stands which bashes Catholics as bigots with zero evidence

Look at the title of your thread. Now look at the sources you cited. Where’s Catholic mentioned in any of them??? Perhaps you should rename the thread?
 
If it makes you feel any better, there is antisemitism among Protestants, Muslims, Blacks, and other groups, including Jews themselves. But the OP has chosen the topic of Catholic antisemitism not to demean Catholics (after all, she is Catholic) but because this is a Catholic Forum with predominantly Catholic members, and antisemitism should concern Catholics, even if it is not perpetrated only by Catholics.

Yes. I guess I consider them Catholic in the sense that they’re baptized.

It’s extremely disappointing that people try to make excuses/defend Catholics by minimising or trivialising anti semitism. Of course it exists. I’m not American or European but I still see it. Are people really so infected by the political climate that they can’t be bothered anymore?

All hate is bad. But if you constantly say general things like that and never go after specific instances when you see it, you’re not solving the problem.

You understand what “for starters” means? Listen, you don’t have to agree with me that antisemitic Catholics exist on Twitter and other platforms. But as I’ve provided evidence that they do, your protests again this entire thread are weird. Again, why would I seek to smear members of my own faith? If you’re unhappy here, please don’t engage with it.
