The sad thing is, Nicene, you know some people are just salivating to believe this one. Everyone operates by faith…which one is the only question!

Yep, us Catholics and the tree pillars of the reformation are wrong. I don’t know how we missed that part of the bible for 1500 years.

I don’t think they have lost humor…it is just that the blog insults their mother…most decent guys who love their moms wouldn’t stand for this kind of slander they would come out with fist flying first and heads thinking later…you know…it is just such a touchy point now a days:o

If this was said about Mohammad…I would look for an assassin lurking behind me…or about the Jewish faith I would expect a barrage of lawyers knocking on my door…

Actually if you read Camerons premise for his docu-fiction, it is about disproving Jesus as the Christ, The film on the tomb is supposed to be about Jesus body being found.

One of his assertions is DNA. Unfortunately for him one must have a comparative sample of DNA with which to match. Last I heard no one saved any of Jesus DNA in a marked jar. :rolleyes:

Though I suppose we could provide him with some of Jesus DNA to give him a comparative sample.

So while I was tongue in cheek about Mary and the siblings of Jesus, the piece and the film are about Jesus death and marriage It’s pretty much a no brainer that Jesus wasn’t married to Mary M. and had kids.

(Though I do have a Lutheran friend that believes thinks he did, she said “Because he was a man…”)

I didn’t remark because I thought you in particular were taking it seriously - I noted the smileys at the end of the post 😃

But there are an awful lot of nutjob conspiracy theorists out there who might just see it and think it’s true. They need to be told what’s what :yup:

Very true Augustine22. What I do find intriguing though is that there are tons of christians digging and looking for artifacts, or pumping money to support those do, in the middle east to prove their faith, to justify their belief.

Kind of defeats the purpose of faith. (Particularly if one keeps claiming “faith alone” 😉 )

The funny thing is, in reading the other article posted in the thread from discovery, it links the osuary to an empty space that was in this tomb.

And the osuary has already been proven to be a fake.

It’s like the national inquirer of theology and archeology. I think it’s kinda funny. 🙂 😛
