Mandatory mask poll

Having to wear a mask to protect others is no problem for me. Where I live masks are only compulsory on public transport. In some European nations you have to wear it if you go into any public building. I have no issues with any of this.

I would rather this than the government trying to force me to stay home or prevent me from travelling anywhere.

For the same reasons I do. Don’t ask me to repeat those reasons please.
No, but that doesn’t explain why she feels bad around other people wearing masks. Your reasons were for why you don’t like wearing a mask. (Uncomfortable, looks funny, etc)

They’re not mandatory where I live, though many locations may set their own standards (e.g. domestic airports require them in the terminal and on flights; certain businesses I haven’t come across yet may require them; I think it’s fine if they do).

I think mandatory masks are such a minor and reasonable thing that yes, I think the government has the right to mandate this during a pandemic. Even though my government hasn’t yet done so (and I’m not critiquing that decision either).

There are other areas where I’m concerned about government abusing pandemic situations to encroach beyond the rightful authority of government. Mandatory mask-wearing is not one of them.

Especially at a time like this when most managers are letting go of people rather than hiring them.

The woman in that first video should have been arrested.

I can’t even bring myself to watch the other ones.

Do you agree that covid is a pandemic?
No I do not.
Well, this explains a lot.

I judge anyone I see not wearing one as too broke to have one, or as someone who hasn’t seen the news in the last 8 months, otherwise all I would see is degenerate behavior.
One more consideration for charity might be what my local government has been careful to publicize: that certain people with medical breathing difficulties are unable to wear masks that further obstruct breathing (even in a seemingly minor way) for an extended period of time, so don’t automatically judge people who don’t wear a mask because they might have such a medical breathing issue.

Doesn’t excuse folks who can wear masks not doing so, in areas where this is required by government. Just mentioning that even my government has been careful to remind folks not to automatically judge those who don’t, as there can (apparently) be medical problems for certain people that prevent mask-wearing as a reasonable behaviour. The hope is that the rest of us can protect them through our own mask-wearing, I suppose.

Since the rate is, I believe, over 40 million people who filed for unemployment benefits, I would say it does.

If antibodies doesn’t confer immunity, then there can neither be a vaccine nor herd immunity. So then we can all lay down and die I guess.

Having peaked in June, the unemployment rate has dropped considerably.
By about 5 million claims since July began.

But even with the numbers, the statement that most managers are terminating individuals does not hold up.
