excellent point! btw what is with the Mel worship here?the key phrase here is valid reason. Since Mel felt the need to publicly express his schismatic beliefs about the Novus Ordo Mass then I have a moral obligation to tell other Catholics who didn’t know that.

No, because it is nonsense. I have never heard that and a google search only turned up one such claim on a ridiculous atheist site that was many pages into the search. Provide proof of your claim.btw did you know several of the cast were porn stars ? didn’t think so

HAHAHA. Monica Belluci is not a porn star. You must not know what “porn” is (not necessarily a bad thing). “Irreversible” was not a porno and is not rated X. It was disturbing because of the particularly brutal rape scene in it. From what I read it was the violence that was shocking.I can but it would not be appropriate to post such here.
I will give an example though and you can do the search yourself. MONICA BELLUCCI played Mary Magdalene. She starred in a movied called ‘Irreversible’. It was so hard core that folks walked out of the cannes fim festival upon viewing it.

Wow. Please provide a link to the section of the Catechsim or any other Church document that requires “public apology” for sin. That is a new one to me.The thing is, since his sin was public, and it was as we are talking about his movies which all can see, then he has to publicly apologise for those sins. Also have you or has anyone heard him recant his opinion about him denying the validity of the Novus Ordo Mass?

This is from a Baptist site. Now I have no inention of proving the veracity of the site. Nor do I have any interest in researching the actors and their purported porn movies. I don’t really care. It is well known that Gibson’s “church” is not in communion with Rome and it appears that there is not an “incredible exaggeration”.First part true, second part an incredible exaggeration.
As I said in earlier post, I hope he returns to the Church.

As far as “Mel worship.” I have only seen a couple of posts gushing about him. Most of the posts have only dealt with the topic of the thread - his Catholicity. He has a lot of faults, as we all do, but he seems sincere regarding his beliefs.

at least I gave a source. I never claimed it was a great one or even made a statement about it one way or the other. It was the first I found when I googled. If you don’t like the site that is your problem not mine. there are more and as I have already stated do some research it is all there if you really want to know. I suspect though the mel worship is more important.Not in the least. It is an very fitting comment on the reliability (or lack thereof) of your source.
