I, for one, think that Homer has an unhealthy attitude toward the human body and the medical profession, and I am also highly insulted that I, as a medical professional (a nurse), am looked upon as a potential pervert because I have to, as part of my job, view or even sometimes touch the private parts of another person, be they male or female. It is totally revolting to me to think that someone would degrade medical professionals in such a manner. I have always acted honorably toward my patients, preserving their dignity and modesty to the utmost degree, and so do my co-workers and the physicians that care for our patients.
Incidents involving patients being violated in such a manner as he suggests are very rare, contrary to what he is trying to portray, and his depiction of things is nothing more than calumny.
