So, to balance the budget, we have got to cut about $1300 Billion
Michele Bachmann has identified one item to cut, so far, for $105 billion
Need to find another $1200 Billion in cuts.
How much in cuts have the other politicians suggested?
The politicians don’t actually tell you the actual revenues and proposed spending (budget)
They complain about what percent here or there.
But rarely tell you the actuals.
So we don’t actually have the actuals for FY 2011 or even part of the fiscal year.
We need to write in the proposed budget for FY2011. The problem is the Congress is REQUIRED to submit an approved budget by October or so of 2010 and they didn’ t do it.
So the government is getting by on a month to month basis with what they call continuing resolutions.
If you visit Yahoo Finance and look up the financials for any corporation, they have three pages for each … income/expenses; balance sheet [assets and liabilities/ debt]; cash flow
And Yahoo has it for each public corporation for three years of history, by year and by quarter.
And if you get the company’s annual report you might find as much as 10-years data.
BUT, you won’t find ANY of the actual revenues and spending for any government … not for states, not for cities, not for Federal.
You should be able to type in the zip code or postal abbreviation and get all of that data with one click of the keyboard.

You got it backwards. The Tea Party wins in the last election cycle were candidates who came out the the Tea Party ranks. Obama was presented as the Savior of All of Earth, and people fainted and swooned at his public events. The fact that the media was complicit in pushing the Obama nomination over Hillary Clinton only exacerbates this fact.
Where did the whole “birther” thing come from? Non-sequitor, and not even an interesting one.

I’d like to see these videos of this supposed mass fainting and swooning, the point in the campaign where Obama called himself the savior of all earth (as opposed to the growing Republican line of "elect us NOW or the country is doomed! DOOMED!), and where the media won the primaries for Barack Obama, as opposed to his superior campaign organization (seriously, read the Newsweek series-the Clinton campaign wasn’t prepared for a long primary race, and was far behind Obama when the time came for the late primaries; he and his advisers chose a better strategy and their campaign had more legs).Oh please, do tell us how it all happened.

Well, if that story is true, then she’s even less respectable than I thought she is. That “liberals really hate America” line is tiresome and insulting-among 20th century president alone, you have Teddy Roosevelt (champion of the 1900’s progressives and 1912 Bull Moose nominee, commanded the Rough Riders in the Spanish American War), Harry Truman (the Fair Deal, artillery captain in World War II), John Kennedy (PT-Boat Commander in the Second World War), and Jimmy Carter (graduate of the Naval Academy). But they all hated America, right?
Seriously, Gore Vidal proves that all liberals hate America? That’s almost astonishingly ignorant.

The only one you mentioned that would be considered a liberal by today’s standards was Carter and he was more incompetent than he was My only problem with Vidals book was it was poorly written .
I think there is little doubt that John Kennedy especially would find what passes for liberalism today to be repugnant.

Really? Teddy Roosevelt wouldn’t be considered a liberal? Running on a platform that includes a national health care plan, an inheritance tax (the hated Republican “death tax”), an early form of social security, and federal protection for unions isn’t good enough to make him a liberal?
Truman’s Fair Deal, with its public housing projects, attempted national health care plan, expansion of social security, and federal support for education isn’t liberal?
Heck, by that standard FDR and LBJ are conservatives. By that standard, so am I!
And what does Carter’s competence have to do with whether or not liberals hate America? I’m not trying to defend Jimmy Carter’s record (I can do that somewhere else), I’m trying to prove that he doesn’t hate America. That I have do it shows the depths of ridiculousness to which Bachmann has plunged.

Perhaps; abortion would be an issue that might drive him out of the Democratic Party, but he certainly wouldn’t be in favor of slicing social security and federal aid to education. He’d certainly be pro-union. Those three things disqualify him from being a Republican.

It extensively documents all of the work of the “progressives” to convert the United States from a republic to a socialist state.
Shouldn’t be too difficult to get a copy and actually read it and its extensive notes.

Neither should it be too difficult to get your hands on a copy of Edmund Morris’s biography of TR, or perhaps of David McCullough’s of Harry Truman, both of which put the lie to that charge.
I’d be glad to hear some of the specific charges, though, especially against TR.
