Yeah, with his experience and all.i’d wager cain has a better shot.

The thing is, Scott------Obama WAS questioned about Wright, but the fawning, adoring media accepted his evasive explanations lock, stock, and barrel. Even when he came out and disowned Wright on live tv, pretending that he had JUST FOUND OUT that the guy he had considered his friend and mentor for TWENTY years was a (gasp!) racist bigot, the media bough his act, lock, stock, and barrel-----even did an “awwwwww, poor guy” for him, instead of hammering him on how come he just realized the nature of his friend after twenty years? The problem with this statement is that Obama never really was questioned…about anything.
Cain will be made an offer that he can not refuse.Yeah, with his experience and all.
Voting for someone who holds anti-Catholic views is not putting your country before Christ. What a terrible thing to say.i will not put my country before Christ. God comes first. i don’t think it’s silly to choose not to support someone who subscribes to this:

what experience did obama have?Yeah, with his experience and all.
Well, he was actually in the senate for some time, albeit brief.what experience did obama have?
“God D—n America!?”Let me interject: I’ve been to TUCC and I’ve heard Rev. Wright preach. Others have heard snippets. I kn ow personally members of Rev. Wright’s family.
He’s not a racist. He also served two tours in the Navy as a corpsman connected to the Marines and is by no means anti-American. He is very critical of some things which occurred in American history. I’m not alone in this view, either. Nationally known theologians (who are not members but have attended Trinity) have stated that the good reverend is no racist.
So, let’s not talk as if what some folks believe is a done deal. I realize that this is not the thread to discuss Rev. Wright but please do not use him as a stalking horse.
how so? if someone believes the Pope to be evil and believes they should resist him, and yet for some reason we support that person by putting he or she into a position of great power are we not putting God in the backseat?Voting for someone who nods anti-Catholic views is not putting your country before Christ. What a terrible thing to say.
are you saying that i’m coming across as a “whackadoo” by drawing attention to some events that i have read about regarding a potential candidate for potus? just because you have no problem with michelle doesn’t mean we shouldn’t discuss her background. or perhaps you are insulting me because you didn’t comprehend what i was saying?Good idea…might as well go for the full whackadoo approach.![]()
ba in mathematicsWell, he was actually in the senate for some time, albeit brief.
What does Cain have under his belt? Pizza.
Don’t bother asking questions with this one…how so? if someone believes the Pope to be evil and believes they should resist him, and yet for some reason we support that person by putting he or she into a position of great power are we not putting God in the backseat?

In the infamous “God D—n America” video, he implied that 9/11 was deserved by America. I don’t care WHAT we have or have not done, or what fringe groups on both sides of the spectrum use as justification for their beliefs-----we DID NOT DESERVE 9/11. Yes, America has done some bad things—absolutely---- and we have atoned—and still atone for some things------but that still does not excuse what happened on that day.Maybe throughout its history America has been less than perfect. You ought to consider why the good reverend said that and what he was talking about.
Nope. Those people are called Protestants. There are a lot of them in this country. A lot of them founded our country. Despite their feelings regarding the papacy, we still pray with them and build coalitions with them to resist the slide towards immorality our country is on.how so? if someone believes the Pope to be evil and believes they should resist him, and yet for some reason we support that person by putting he or she into a position of great power are we not putting God in the backseat?
Regarding the “events” you’ve brought up so far? Absolutely.you saying that i’m coming across as a “whackadoo” by drawing attention to some events that i have read about regarding a potential candidate for potus?
Where have I posted an opinion on Michelle Bachmann that would lead you to state that I “have no problem” with her?just because you have no problem with michelle doesn’t mean we shouldn’t discuss her background.
why, because rlg94086 resorts to insults when they can’t answer? if you wouldn’t mind, could you please read our exchanges and let me know if i communicated something poorly. i am very visual and my writing skills aren’t that great. maybe i wrote something that did come off as whackadoo, but still this person doesn’t need to insult.Don’t bother asking questions with this one…
I’ve answered your and Arkadin’s questions directly and succinctly. Insinuating that a Catholic can’t vote for someone who is anti-papacy is nuts. Unless they are pushing anti-Catholic laws, their anti-Catholic views are of no concern to me.why, because rlg94086 resorts to insults when they can’t answer? if you wouldn’t mind, could you please read our exchanges and let me know if i communicated something poorly. i am very visual and my writing skills aren’t that great. maybe i wrote something that did come off as whackadoo, but still this person doesn’t need to insult.
i wouldn’t vote for any member of a church that officially attacks the Catholic Church. fact is some do and some don’t. you are lumping them all together.Nope. Those people are called Protestants. There are a lot of them in this country. A lot of them founded our country. Despite their feelings regarding the papacy, we still pray with them and build coalitions with them to resist the slide towards immorality our country is on.
i am sorry you choose to insult me. are you not capable of critiquing what i have posted in a reasonable manner. if you didn’t read the links i posted then i suppose you wouldn’t see what i was referring to.Regarding the “events” you’ve brought up so far? Absolutely.
my fault for not expanding, i should have written that you have no problem voting for her regarding the issue we are discussing.Where have I posted an opinion on Michelle Bachmann that would lead you to state that I “have no problem” with her?![]()
**I honestly don’t have a problem with voting for someone, Democrat or Republican, who belongs to a Church with anti-Catholic beliefs. ** I think it would be silly for anyone to have a problem with that. I expect Protestants to be anti-Catholic…certainly anti-papacy!
Now, if they believe in rounding up Catholics and burning them at the stake? Totally unacceptable.![]()
I wouldn’t venture to guess.Who would the Pope vote for, if he had to?
Good call Charlotte… I can’t believe this thread is still active.LMBO! Me either! You know how much stuff goes on in the CC and I’m always the last to know…
I dont’ believe there is a hateful bone in Michele’s body.
It is certainly your right to hold that view. You can also choose not to vote for anyone under 5 feet tall. I believe in complete freedom of choice when it comes to voting.i wouldn’t vote for any member of a church that officially attacks the Catholic Church. fact is some do and some don’t. you are lumping them all together.
I don’t consider your charges reasonable at all, thus I will say it how I see it.I am sorry you choose to insult me. are you not capable of critiquing what i have posted in a reasonable manner. if you didn’t read the links i posted then i suppose you wouldn’t see what i was referring to.
Thank you for the correction. That is correct. I disagree with your stance on this issue. I am not a Bachmann supporter…my fault for not expanding, i should have written that you have no problem voting for her regarding the issue we are discussing.
obviously we all have freedom to choose who to vote for. that has nothing to do with the fact that:It is certainly your right to hold that view. You can also choose not to vote for anyone under 5 feet tall. I believe in complete freedom of choice when it comes to voting.
That said, I don’t believe it is immoral for a Catholic to vote for someone associated with a church who “officially attacks the Catholic Church.” Luther, Calvin, Henry VIII and all of the other founders of the mainline Protestant churches vociferously attacked the Catholic Church. These “official attacks” have no bearing unless the candidate is planning some anti-Catholic legislation.
Now, do you have anything that directly implicates Bachmann, or are going to continue your calumny?
I don’t consider your charges reasonable at all, thus I will say it how I see it.
