I see a pattern emerging here 😉. Did someone make you a movie offer that you couldn’t refuse?

I’m surprised that I don’t think I’ve seen the movie Frozen mentioned yet. I thought kids watched that one over and over. Maybe the parents just ignore it while it’s playing.

  1. Casablanca (I’ve seen this one so many times I actually know some of the dialogue by heart).
  2. The Adventures of Robin Hood (one of our esteemed bloggers has Errol Flynn as Robin Hood for his avatar 😉).
  3. Ben-Hur (1959) -
  4. Meet Me in St. Louis - Judy Garland
  5. Mr. Smith Goes To Washington (1939).
Re GWTW: I can only watch the first half of the film. The second half (especially near the end with what happens to her daughter) I can’t stand.

Round 2:
  1. It’s a Wonderful Life
  2. A Christmas Carol (1951 w/ Alastair Sim - the definitive version imnvho)
  3. Singing in the Rain
  4. The Sound of Music
  5. The Ten Commandments (Channel 6 WPVI show it every year around Easter).

I’m the opposite. I prefer it from when the war is over and she married Frank.

The acting by Hattie McDaniel is just perfect in the second half.

 🤧

Dr Strangelove
Legally Blonde
Sweet Home Alabama
Vertigo
The Birds

The Long Gray Line (Tyrone Power…One of the best movies I ever saw )
Michael Collins
The Informer
Man for all Seasons
Schindler’s List

And more…

Armageddon
Lethal Weapon series
Diehard
Father of the Bride
White Christmas

My Cousin Vinny
Doc Hollywood (the one with Michael J Fox)
The Lord of the Rings (The Two Towers)
Star Wars ( A New Hope)
Legally Blonde

The first two are very funny and I could quote lines from them 😆

That line from My Cousin Vinny when they are in court and Joe Pesci asks Marisa Tomei: “Are you suuure?” My husband says that to me in just that way and I always answer “Positive!”

We are a family that speaks in film dialogue quite often, lol!

I know but I can’t stand Scarlett’s conniving to get beaux/husbands. (Sorry for spoiling the movie for those who haven’t seen GWTW.)

A whole bunch of “chick flicks”… 😉

Patton
The Godfather
Godfather II
Goodfellas
Animal House (the soundtrack of my misbegotten youth)

🤣 I don’t think too many people are concerned about spoilers for an 81 year old movie.

On one geek group I’m a member of, the rule is, you have to include a spoiler warning if the movie/show is a year and a day old, or less. After that, it’s fair game.
