If you don’t have a gun that is capable of killing 100 people within a short period of time, how then can you kill 100 persons without using a bomb? With gasoline? How?

Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting update: 3 guns found next to Adam Lanza’s body, 3 elsewhereYes, but the rifle was found in the car in the parking lot by the police after the shooting.
Lanza committed suicide in the school and only the handguns were found in the school.
The coroner stated that the children were shot multiple times by the rifle.
How did the rifle get from the school to the car?
I am having a hard time believing that Lanza would stop in the middle of his shooting to return the rifle to the car.
Of course, the school security cameras may tell us something about that.
Yes, because as you pointed out (stabbing in China) guns aren’t necessary for a person to attack children at school (there have been at least 7 mass stabbings in China since 2010).It’s more practical and immediate to find the money to arm and employ hundreds of thousands of guards? Seriously? Who should he tax to fund the NRA’s plan - it’s card-carrying members?
usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/12/18/mass-killings-common/1778303Of course it does reduce the number of persons killed at a goal–in a single incident.
That’s too easy to say. How often does that materialise?People can buy fertiliser and bomb making equipment fairly easily
That’s what you got from reading that study? What I got is that the ban did not last long enough for it’s impact on gun crime to be assessed and there were confounding factors, such as the manufacture of new similar weapons which did not fall under the ban, that make predicting long term effectiveness of the ban questionable. In addition, the effect on a ban crime as a whole is not the same as the effect on mass shootings.1994 federal assault weapons ban banned manufacture of magazines 10 or more rounds and see what a study comission by the National Institute of Justice and done by the University of Pennsylvania said they
Fine, but it looks like Obama is out of a job them. Obama’s problem is that he still thinks that he is running a campaign. Campaign is over. Time for practical solutions. Mr. LaPierre just upended the President. Oops!Fine, bill the NRA for the expense of recruiting, training, arming, and compensating 132,183 new police officers and hold them legally liable for ANY mishaps or school shootings.
What is this, the Wild West? There are law enforcement officers, not everywhere at every moment I know, but that’s their job, spartan_cop. I’ve lived in NYC a long time and never needed to defend myself against a criminal. So how do we defend ourselves against criminals who have guns?
10 years is a long time for a law to be enactedThat’s what you got from reading that study? 100 people? What kind of gun can do that other than probably a gat gun? Which by the way are banned. I doubt you’ve ever used a gun let alone seen one. It is very difficult to shoot a moving target. You would have to be a marks expert to be able to take out 100 people. Most AR can only hose 28 rounds. If you don’t have a gun that is capable of killing 100 people within a short period of time, how then can you kill 100 persons without using a bomb? With gasoline?
Saving human lives (1%) is worthy or isn’t it?usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2012/12/18/mass-killings-common/1778303
A third of mass killings didn’t involve guns at all. In 15 incidents, the victims died in a fire. In 20 others, the killer used a knife or a blunt object. When guns were involved, killers were far more likely to use handguns than any other type of weapon
FBI data from 2006 to 2010 shows mass killings account for less than 1% of gun crime

Mr. LaPierre didn’t present a practical solution and it will never come to pass.Fine, but it looks like Obama is out of a job them. Obama’s problem is that he still thinks that he is running a campaign. Campaign is over. Time for practical solutions. Mr. LaPierre just upended the President. Oops!
I’m sure the President is suitably impressed by LaPierre’s infomercial.Fine, but it looks like Obama is out of a job them. Obama’s problem is that he still thinks that he is running a campaign. Campaign is over. Time for practical solutions. Mr. LaPierre just upended the President. Oops!
So the* police* were confused about the difference between a rifle and a shotgun? Hmmm. I’ll have to dig a little deeper. Not adding up.Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting update: 3 guns found next to Adam Lanza’s body, 3 elsewhere
Adam Lanza was found dead next to three guns – the semiautomatic .223-caliber rifle made by Bushmaster and two handguns made by Glock and Sig Sauer. A fourth weapon, a shotgun, was found in Lanza’s car, according to Vance. Additional weapons were found in his house, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation said.

The police know what a shotgun is. The news reporters who report the story, not so much.So the* police* were confused about the difference between a rifle and a shotgun? Hmmm. I’ll have to dig a little deeper. Not adding up.
Given a gun everyone becomes a cop. Or vigilante.Right, I agree with Pierre’s sentiment, just not his proposed application. Why does it need to be a cop with a gun?
That’s true, but none that I’m aware of in developed countries with modern school safety systems.Yes, because as you pointed out (stabbing in China) guns aren’t necessary for a person to attack children at school (there have been at least 7 mass stabbings in China since 2010).
