Now you know how it feels to us 95% of the time on this forum.![]()
Ringil, haha yeah isn’t that the truth. Sometimes I feel like a one person choir. So I sure appreciated yours and others voices tonight! Regressive is progressive.Wow this turned into a regressive circle-jerk pretty fast.
I’m sorry that I forgot to capitalize Regressive.Regressive is progressive.
My examples are from 10 years ago. And now, things have increased. For example:Well a couple hundred can mean a great deal for some families. A cell phone, television, and a car are not exactly the lap of luxury. There are many rather cheap prepaid cell phone plans nowadays for instance.
Cell phones are a necessity now? You do know that you can get a land line for significantly less than a cell phone, even pre-paid plans? Qwest, where I live, offers basic phone service for only $12/mo.Oh come on! You know what those poor people use their cell phones for don’t you?![]()
Nice. Not stated. Not even implied. When I was in college, I didn’t have cable or long distance. I scraped by paying my tuition, books, rent, food, and utilities, and didn’t have anything left for cable or long distance calls. I was fortunate that my father sent me pre-paid long distance cards for me to use to call home. But all we had was basic local-only service. If I did it, so can others.Do you really think they have any business watching TV when they could be out “picking themselves up by their bootstraps.” You know, working “by the sweat of their brow.”![]()
Well, I hope Cantor does call his bluff, because that’s exactly what it is, and the Moody’s watch list thing is overblown.Cantor said, the president told him: “Eric, don’t call my bluff. I’m going to the American people with this.”
So am I, he never changes in the face of adversity. Always an arrogant, self serving, ill prepared panderer, playing a game that has devastated America. And playing it well. I hope they have a big parade for him in Chicago when he is sent home in January 2013.I’m proud of the President!!![]()
Ya, but I am working on bumping the numbers up. As soon as Catholic begin to understand that charity and taking care of their neighbors is a personal, private, individual responsibility that cannot be turned over to the state, they come into the fold. The rest will continue to render unto Caesar that which rightfully belongs to God.It’s good to know not all Catholics have become Tea Party Republicans. I was beginning to wonder.
The Tea Party is what has slowed America’s fall off the cliff. We just have to get the Senate under control, and it won’t make a difference if Obama is reelected or not. You may like an imperial Presidency, the growing majority of Americans certainly do not.I love how the Tea Partiers are ensuring the re-election of the President!! Keep it up fellas. America is watching. . . .

He might have had a different attitude had he paid taxes.Christ had no problem with taxes.
The whole “Christ encouraged us to pay taxes” is a complete misinterpretation of the “Render unto Caesar” passage of Scripture. Christ was not advocating paying taxes, it was a warning about who your loyalty belongs to.He might have had a different attitude had he paid taxes.
I’ve been to a 3rd world country. The poor in the US live like kings and queens compared to some people. What is being qualified as “poor” in the United States is an insult to truely poor people in the rest of the world. Most “poor people” in the US live better than working class stiffs in Europe.
Agreed. Actually in terms of living space, electronic appliances and food you could take “Working class stiff” out and replace it with “average person” in many European nations. What is being qualified as “poor” in the United States is an insult to truely poor people in the rest of the world. Most “poor people” in the US live better than working class stiffs in Europe.
Thanks for helping me make my point Barrick! I’m not very good at getting pics. on here but you sir, have shown the true colors of the Protestant Work Ethic Righters beautifully BRAVO!!http://change-production.s3.amazonaws.com/photos/wordpress_copies/homelessness/2009/03/mobama.jpg
XBox 360’s are important as well. All poor people should have some sort of entertainment to come home to after standing in line all day trying to apply for assistance for their energy bill.

Oh, please, do you not have Google on your computer or do you think other people don’t?He even spoke out against the Iraq war as a state legislator in IL. Now as far as him cavng into Republicans and extending them, yes you can blame him. I blame him for that too except I understand the Republicans were holding hostage benefits for the middle class if he did not go along with extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich.
If you lose your SSI benefits you should thank Obama for it.I honestly don’t understand the issue very well but I sure hope that I don’t end up losing my SSI checks,
