And don’t dare ask them anything about O’s plans

The enthusiasm of 2008 is just gone.
  1. Yes about the second part.
  2. Go ask the Romney devotees what his firm plans are. Even Ryan didn’t say much concretely.

This is my take on the final Romney-Obama debate:

I don’t believe Obama. I believe Romney. I think that Obama took a moderate position on the issues as a stealth position to get reelected and giving Romney nothing much to take issue with just to keep the temperature down. If that gets him reelected, he will say to himself… < America… Now I’ve got you right where I want you…! > He will appoint two more activists to the Supreme Court and together, they will run the American Constitution right through the Oval Office shredder…!

That’s what I think. What do you think…?

Maso

I disagree about Jewish voters. Jews vote, and they sure as heck are not going to vote en masse or any other way for Romney, even Orthodox Jews. Take it from a non-Las Vegas, New York insider.
Seconded by this Brooklynite.
Also, what about the Hispanic vote and single women? And I doubt the Black vote is going to drop, not with the sentiment that Blacks are being disenfranchised by Republican leaders in states like Ohio and PA.
Black voters are Democratic voters. Period. Single women are also going for Obama.

Any questions?

I don’t agree. 🤷

Just the opposite, actually. I think it is Romney who took a moderate position on foreign-policy issues to keep the temperature down and get elected.

Actually Romney said since 1917 - not WW1. The US Army and the Marines have many more bayonets commissioned today than they did January 1st 1917.

The US Navy has had aircraft carriers for over 90 years and submarines for over 100 years - does Obama actually think these are new weapons?
But I think Governor Romney maybe hasn’t spent enough time looking at how our military works.
I find it highly funny that the President was criticizing Romney about his knowledge of the military all while showing his own lack of knowledge about the military. 😃

How is your non-vote any different than the uninformed and apathetic? I don’t see anything 👍 about not voting. 🤷
Define “informed”.
I worked in a big city newspaper for eight years, I know how news is packaged and sent out. “News” is chained to the editorial decisions of editors and programing directors. They decide what stories are important.
The co-opting of news has been going on since the invention of the printing press. However, media disinformation came to fruition under newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, who believed the truth was “subjective” and open to his personal interpretation.
They do one of two things: they ignore a story or they engage in “over-reporting” on a subject that has nothing to do with the more important issues at hand. Thus many Americans think the one story that is ignored or given little attention must not be that important. While the story media won’t shut-up about it, it must be important!
In the case of the False News Channel, they engage in silly stories that have nothing to do with anything, but is “fun” news.
But that’s no surprise, modern cable “news” is really infotainment, not news.
Being “informed” really isn’t as complicated as people think. You can rely on the same wire services our media relies on, but become your own editor.
When you do that, you become very much aware of the dog and pony show in Washington and in our media.
Don’t assume everyone who is not voting is “uninformed” or “apathetic”.
They just refuse to play the game.

Did you miss where he still predicted Obama would still carry those demographics, but by smaller margins?

Neither man wore his country’s uniform - ever! A lot was made over Clinton’s lack of military service. What are the patriots going to say about the current situation?

Actually a lot was made about Bill Clinton being a draft dodger.

You don’t need a uniform to tell you that aircraft carriers, submarines and bayonets have all been around a while.

So what? If Obama won by a margin of only 10 votes from blacks and single women, we’ll still call him President Obama.

Yes, but I’m waiting for the right-wingers, who make a big deal of military service, to explain why their man never served. Same explanation owed by the lefties.

am I the only person who knows current military, everyone please look up the cost of 1 battleship, or 1 aircraft carrier or destroyer, then tell me how much it will cost to add 200 plus ships…let me know when you get into the billions if not trillions. and thats no counting the arms on board…1 cruise missile costing 1,410,000…

and the whole thing about fleet size, is wrong, bush had a smaller fleet size under his rule, but thats not the point, the point being a battle group can do more today then it ever could then, in fact 3 ships could do more then a fleet then.

and romney is no saint, not that obama is.

I’m waiting for the left-wingers, who make a big deal of military service when Kerry ran, to explain why their man never served.
