open your mind man! There are other issues you know!
There are other issues,

…but on which other issues are the differences so stark? I don’t see any part of the GOP platform, or proposals that do the things you claim.

If there was a support for “strongly and unequivocally” having the poor going hungry, or unclothed…

Listen to your Church…none of the other issues equal intrinsic evils you know!

To support the democrat and therefore their platform you participate in what it stands for; abortion rights, same sex “unions”, forced violation of conscience, etc. Can’t pick the person without picking what he stands for.

Of course, anything can happen in Ohio. However, I think Obama might win there because of three rightly or wrongly perceived factors: the lower unemployment rate in Ohio compared to the national average, the auto rescue and support of auto workers whose jobs were saved, and the superior ground-operation of unions and other groups. Despite this, it’s still close.
Momentum is a huge factor.

For a baseball analogy, I would favor the team who squeaks into the playoffs on a 10 game winning streak, vs. the 10 game lead Division winner who lost their last 5.

As an NYC resident, maybe you can relate? 😉

The Romney camp is very aware of the above. And the non-union members of the
Delphi company who have seen their pensions wiped out or drastically reduced are
probably helping knock on doors/making phone calls, etc. Ohio’s housing market is
not that great, either.

He socialized medicine well before Obama did.
Not disagreeing…I am not a fan of GWB, nor am I a believer in the republicans who were in control through much of his presidency. These issues are precisely why they lost majorities, not conservative enough and lost their core values. They spent money like democrats.

Now that was a low blow! (and I LOVE IT!)

I agree momentum is a big factor and can relate to your baseball analogy. I think the momentum began with the unexpected strong performance of Romney and the corresponding poor performance of Obama in the first debate.

As I think Obama had more momentum over McCain in 2008.

(sorry for the baseball low blow, my Cardinals are at home today, too!)

But again, NO ONE is saying the poor shouldn’t be fed, or that we should help them feed themselves. We just have different ideas about how to get it done.

The same can’t be said for other issues.

Rich, as if further proof were needed, now we can be sure who NOT to vote for.
My BIL works for the Post, and he doesn’t read it! Its tabloid competitor, the New York Daily News is the London Times in comparison…

Can we fulfill our obligation to help the poor and needy by voting for someone who promises to take other peoples money and do it for us?
