Outrage after video captures white Baton Rouge police officer fatally shooting a black man

Yes, the loss of these two men’s lives was a sad tragedy that likely should not have happened.

However…where is the outrage from our government about the 50 or 60 people gunned down in Chicago over July 4th weekend? Our were their deaths somehow “acceptable” because they weren’t killed by white cops. You can’t tell me that those 50 or 60 lives didn’t matter…that they all deserved to go that way. It’s a shame that this violence in the inner cities is allowed to go on unchecked and without OUTRAGE in our media. I think I saw one headline, which is why I can’t recall the exact number. WHY the disparity in media coverage? Why is our president mute about the overwhelming numbers of gun deaths in our inner cities? No…seriously…think about it. I’m sick over the lack of coverage and lack of initiative save the lives of so many innocents in our inner cities.

I don’t know particulars of their gun control laws, but I have a sense they are rather strict. I seriously doubt that a single murderer was an NRA member…gee, that’s actually a stat I’d like to know. I know none who pulled the trigger in Chicago were white cops,though…lack of news coverage.

How long before it gets turned into another call for banning guns? But they’re police officers, so… Hang on, I need to check my Progressive Liberal Handbook for this one.

(I know humor isn’t appropriate in a situation like this, but sometimes one has to laugh just to keep from either screaming or crying.)

With all due respect, the guy from Minnessotta told the cop that he had a gun and a per,it. The cop still shot him, 4 times if I’m not mistaken.

I don’t think these protests are a left or right issue, it’s a cry for equality.
 
Cbs 11 here in Dallas, just said live, that 2 individuals are in police custody.
 
Let’s see what our president has to say about this, if anything. Do you think he can outright condemn these murders without any backhanded divisive comments? I really, really, hope he does.
 
So much for the good-guy-with-a-gun theory. There were plenty of good guys with guns there. Three of them are now dead.

Prayers for the officers and their families.
 
Some reports are saying the shooter came from above the demonstration (as in it was not one of the protestors). Not sure but let’s pray for those who were shot 😦

I don’t know if it was someone who shot officers because of the misplaced anger towards cops or someone trying to frame BLM activists as racists but fighting violence with violence is never the answer 😦
