And might you need an example of what I was talking about?
People say all sorts of things on the Internet.
What do parents, priests and etc. in real life actually say? From my time on CAF, far from that person’s comment.

And Baptists teach that homosexuality is sinful, too (I should know because I was raised Baptist). And Baptists kids who are taught that homosexuality is a terrible sin and that unrepentant homosexuals will go to hell and then turn out to be gay when they hit puberty definitely feel miserable as a result.
OK. That is what is taught. But there are a number of gay Catholics here and they accept that Catholic teachings indicate they can’t have gay sex. I don’t think they have an issue with that teaching. They aren’t happy with some of the bizarre comparisons made by some on CAF but aside from that, they don’t find the teaching causing them misery.

All I ask is for people to think before they speak. To pause before they hit the Send button. To consider the effects of what they say.
Normally you and I don’t see eye to eye. Many have told me I’m a disruptive influence on the forum.

That said know I mean it when I say I appreciate these words.

I agree. The anonymity seems to give people carte blanche to say what they like. But that’s the point. They can say what they like. It’s not so much ‘in vino veritas’ but ‘in forum veritas’.

Their views may not be expressed in such terms in a social setting (certainly not in my part of the world) but their views do carry over. To think such thoughts would make it difficult not to have them exhibited in some way.

Notwithstanding that this is a public forum. If a young girl is confused about her sexuality and feels there is no-one she can turn to face to face, then what better than the anonymity of a Catholic forum where she might expect some support.

And hey, here’s a thread about being gay…and then she sees that comment.

She better have some strong interest in a Polish presidential election then. And even then, she would also see the other comments i.e. not the ones like the one you quoted.

Sorry to interlude. But what about when others living their beliefs means you cannot live yours?

The last part is open to anyone.
Children, first and foremost, are born of man+woman. Those are the “ordinary circumstances” by which children come to be. I would have thought you knew that much Fred.

You didn’t mention a sexual relationship - it used to be understood that such relationships rested on complementarity - noting the inherent connection between sexuality and the begetting of children. I agree that many no longer see that connection, nor see complementarity as relevant.

I note that you put ‘ordinary circumstances’ in quotes.

Could somebody please define “the gay agenda” for me? Do LGBTQ people have a bullet-point mission statement somewhere?
Simples.

If the press doesn’t like you but they don’t want to explain the true reasons because they think the average reader is too dumb to follow, then tarnish your man with a big brush that says “anti gay agenda”.

Most people won’t stop to ask questions, but will understand, “this man must be truly evil”.

This is litterly the first I heard about it. I have a transgender nephew, so his friends are your stereotypical LGBT as it gets.
Not once has their desire been to tell others how to have sex or who to love.

It’s to have no one tell anyone about themselves.
I have a friend who is homosexual, who was born and grew up in Germany but moved to Poland for work and stayed there when he retired because he likes it there. He lives in a small and very Catholic village and says that although everybody knows he is gay they never made trouble for him because of it.

He is very much for gay rights and even researches and writes magazine articles about discrimination in different countries and reaches out to help victims of discrimination.

But he says that in Poland gays are not discriminated, and that he supports president Duda. He says that what some gays are doing, such as holding parades where they dance nude and things like that, are totally giving people the wrong idea of what homosexuality is about, and are damaging the cause more than helping it. If they don’t get money for things like that in Poland, that’s not being anti gay.

As for the final result of the LGBT agenda? Pedophilia and Euphebophilia! Mark my words!
I’ve read some pretty ridiculous things in 6 years of pursuing this site.

This may have taken the cake.

Well, wait here for a while and I’ll find a site that discusses Protestant views about homosexuality and I’ll point out exactly the same arguments to them. Or to a Muslim site or to a Jewish site. Or to a Democratic one or a flat earth one or my local bee keepers forum.

Anyone who talks about gay adolescents in a negative way will get those arguments. As it turns out, we’re on a Catholic site and some Catholics are doing it. They will get the arguments and those who exhibit nothing but a loving and caring attitude won’t.

Catholocism isn’t the problem. It’s how some Catholics interpret it.
Social media offers an extremely distorted version of real life.
But go back in the thread and you will find that homosexuality in itself
Because they use that word to mean the acts or they talk of the inclination as a temptation which it is. Kind of works like culture shock.

You’ve lost the run of yourself there, what has DeValera’s speech from 70yrs ago and unemployment got to do with abortion and gay marriage?

I note that you put ‘ordinary circumstances’ in quotes.
Yes. Quoting myself - having used those words in my previous post. And in the previous post, it’s an alternative to bold or underline which i don’t recall how to do.

Put two * around what you want bolding like this but without the spaces.
