Let’s try this again.
Nothing you are saying has anything to do with abortion and gay marriage.

I don’t know. Growing up in the 80s near a heavily homosexual community, I knew what they were busy doing. There were bathhouses where they had anonymous sex, there were bars where they picked each other up and took each other home, and there were private parties where anything went.He says that what some gays are doing, such as holding parades where they dance nude and things like that, are totally giving people the wrong idea of what homosexuality is about, and are damaging the cause more than helping it.
Same with me. When I was growing up there were bars all over the city where they used to meet up and pair off. Quite often it would lead to sex. They seemed to swap partners frequently. There was a ‘lovers lane’ where they used to make out in tbe back of cars. There’d be parties in private houses where they were openly amorous with each other. The bedroom was often in use.Cirdan_XII:

I know what you’re talking about. But not all homosexuals are part of that or support that. The guy I mentioned previously is shocked by this bevaiour and doesn’t have a problem with it being suppressed.I don’t know. There were not yet “Pride Parades” where the depravity was on full display.
Interestingly, he also doesn’t believe homosexuals should adopt kids.It is interesting to see a “different face” emerge, the face of a “respectable” homosexual, who’s horrified by all this sex stuff, and just wants to “marry” his husband, adopt a few kids and furbabies, and lead a quiet, inoffensive suburban life.
Let analyze adoption by homosexuals and see if it makes sense.Anesti33:

There were quite a few gay bars down the main drag leading into the city back in the day. Specifically because they were places a gay person could go and not get his or her sexuality being pointed out in agressive terms by other drinkers. Where they could go and socialise without the fear of being beaten up. And (gasp) do what another young people were doing all over the city in all the other bars and look for a sexual partner. It is interesting to see a “different face” emerge, the face of a “respectable” homosexual, who’s horrified by all this sex stuff, and just wants to “marry” his husband, adopt a few kids and furbabies, and lead a quiet, inoffensive suburban life.
Perhaps they were legion and in the closet. But this is a drastically different attitude from the ones I saw, growing up nearby.
This is only said by those who quote the old Masters & Johnson ‘study’ from the 50’s, a ‘study’ which was terribly flawed, but which is still cited. Actual figures are much lower…2.2% +/- 0.4% non-heterosexual, of which 1.2% are bisexuals. And remember it is usually said about 10% of the general population is LGBT.
How do you know what the “actual figures” are? No one knows for sure. All we have are estimates. The Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law estimates that LGBT people make up about 4.5% of the US population which would still be over 13 million people. A Gallup Poll in 2017 also concluded that about 4.5% of the US population identify as LGBT.ATraveller:

It’s a bit early here and I haven’t had my coffee yet. But did you just quote a poll asking questions about intimacy which concluded that 33% of people would lie when asked questions about intimacy? We’ve been through this before…more than once. Polls can be biased. Estimates from ‘left coast’ sources? Worldwide anecdotal evidence, using statistical methods from various sources, has consistently yielded the ‘actual figures’ I stated, over a period of many years. [A British poll in 2014 found that full one-third of the population will lie on polls concerning intimacy…]
