That’s because sodomy is an offense against nature and stated as one of the sins that cries to heaven for vengeance. To what are you referring: having SSA or acting on it?

Look at the language you used, Freddy: “still refer to homosexuality in negative terms”. That’s right, they do and they so properly. Homosexuality is not a positive trait. I also refer to lust, pride, greed, envy, inclination to be a usurer; lie; commit adultery; watch pornography; commit murder; engage in pedophilia; commit burglary, child abuse, etc. in negative terms because these inclinations are all wrong and sinful.

The reason that these conversations are not productive is because this particular inclination is used by its proponents as the primary identity of a certain individuals and conflates the inclination with the person.
But everything negative you mentioned is a choice. You are not born a burglar. You are not born a murderer. But people are born with an affection for the same sex just as you are for the opposite sex. It’s as much part of them as it is of you. It’s no more a choice than height or hair colour. And it’s noted yet again that the very fact of being gay is compared to the inclinations to murder and to abuse children.

But maybe someone will say that being homosexual in itself is not wrong. Except…you are never to have a lifetime with someone you love. You are never to commit to another for life in the presence of family and friends and have the temerity to call it marriage. You are never to know the joy of parenthood. You are never to understand the deep and meaningful sexual partnership that almost everyone else can. All that is forbidden!

For a young person trying to come to terms with life and to be told that what they actually think is wrong, what they actually feel is wrong, who they actually are is wrong is simply cruel.

Could somebody please define “the gay agenda” for me? Do LGBTQ people have a bullet-point mission statement somewhere?
Part of the communist takeover agenda is
  1. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
These were read into the Congressional Record in 1963.

Look these over and they have been very successful:

Communist Objectives as Published in 1963 - Many have been implemented - Fiscal Rangers
Is this the best source you have on this supposed Communist plot to promote homosexuality, excerpts from the 1958 book The Naked Communist by W. Cleon Skousen that were entered into the Congressional Record in 1963?

Since when do public schools promote fornication?
Are you serious?

Of course schools promote fornication, that’s not a mystery.
Who is the student that is not teach with sex, contraception and what they whould do. What student is teach of marriage when teach of sexuality?

When I was in high school they DID stress premarital sex is very unwise. While they did go over the basics and how things worked the mood was more curiosity then wondering how to put something like this to practice. Most kids in there who did admit to having sex mentioned it was more caught up in the moment and while the word “fun” was used there was a considerable amount of regret.

The big take away was sex for teens was more trouble then it was worth. At the time we were already hormonal rage balls, the last thing we needed was to deal with all the consequences and complications sex presented.

That’s great.
But not all states have abstinence until marriage programm.
I would said it is a very american thing. The most part of the western societies does not embrace theses moral values. Marriage is already considered as something of the past.

It is common practice that catholic school teachers won’t be hired if they are not comfortable with modelling catholic principles.
Hmm, really?

I worked in a Catholic school and they didn’t even ask me if I was Catholic until after I was hired. I said no, and that was about it.

It takes more than one incident to make a case.

I’m all for calling out logical fallacy however personal experience is kinda weird. While it can never prove the exception or the rule can we at lest aknowledge the possibility? There in by putting a pin in it that we know it maybe an outlying data point and know it exists.

I agree that it is more suitable for that.

Odd. Many heterosexual people face this too and that may not always be their choice.
For Catholics, and I think I’m well versed enough after learning about their faith, having a sexual partnership isn’t the ultimate point of a fulfilling life.

There’s a difference in not finding it and being told that you can’t look.

And personally, the most fullfilling aspect of my life is finding someone who loves me, can share a lifetime commitment with me and share the joys of having children. All else is secondary.

Imagine being told that this is one of the greatest gifts in life…but not for you.

Not everyone can have children. And in the modern West, people being told something… they don’t always comply.
Imagine being told this or that. You act as if people are so fragile that they cannot overcome or ignore other people’s opinions or words.

How many Americans have never had sex? According to one study from 2006:
The vast majority of Americans have sex before marriage, including those who abstained from sex during their teenage years, according to “Trends in Premarital Sex in the United States, 1954–2003,” by Lawrence B. Finer, published in the January/February 2007 issue of Public Health Reports . Further, contrary to the public perception that premarital sex is much more common now than in the past, the study shows that even among women who were born in the 1940s, nearly nine in 10 had sex before marriage.

The new study uses data from several rounds of the federal National Survey of Family Growth to examine sexual behavior before marriage, and how it has changed over time. According to the analysis, by age 44, 99% of respondents had had sex, and 95% had done so before marriage. Even among those who abstained from sex until age 20 or older, 81% had had premarital sex by age 44.

The last part is in ordinary circumstances connected with the marriage of man and woman. The first part need not be sexual.

Sure, but when it’s said that it’s “common practice” I would “assume” that I (and my wife) would have had said experience.
Why would you assume that? That you didn’t might perhaps you are in a minority. Or it might suggest that what is common practice broadly is not common practice in your jurisdiction. You are no doubt aware various churches have sought and obtained legal allowances to discriminate in various hiring arrangements for the obvious reason that putting role models in front of their students who are not comfortable modelling the very principles the Organisation claims to stand for is potentially absurd.

Most people could care less what religious organisations say. But two points.

Some religious organisations actively push for laws to be made that will prevent, for example, gay couples getting married and adopting children. That moves from telling you what you shouldn’t do to forcing you to comply.

And secondly, the discussion had moved on to the effects on young people. And it then moves from a problem between two adults disagreeing about morality to telling children that they are disordered. That what they feel is comparable to all the negative acts we were subected to a few posts upstream (yet again). And being told this when it’s difficult enough to come to terms with your sexuality when you are heterosexual - when you are considered ‘normal’.

Children and young adults can be cruel enough to each other as it is. Do we need to add to the misery?

And how effective have they been in the West? Not very.

And somehow the scary Abrahamic religious boogeymen are tormenting people in Taiwan, which you brought up.
