tranny” is never okay.
I’m not PC and I despise PC culture. It’s never okay to chop off a healthy penis, so don’t lecture me about it being not okay to say tranny.

I’d say chopping off a penis is more wrong than using the word tranny.

Now, Alex, here’s a question for you.

In your opinion, mutilating healthy genitals is acceptable. So, do you find female “circumcision” morally acceptable?

I’d consider that condition resulting in a woman. I mean the person would look female and have been socialised female.
But if it suddenly comes down to how a person looks things get murky again. If it’s about socialising then what about those children who act outside of their gender norm and are treated as such? Indeed trans* people go through a lot of therapy to help them become aclimatised to the social aspects of their gender.

They’re not doing it to you
Fine.

But when they make a public spectacle out of it, and demand that people not only accept it as totally normally, nay rather they must venerate it as virtous, houston we have a problem! That is endangering public health, and potentially leading to my children being negatively influenced by their illness.

These issues rob children of a piece of their childhood. I can see a mention but not a focus as it seems to be.These subjects are still controversial in the public arena so it’s wrong to educate kids as if they aren’t. It’s wrong to thrust into their minds issues they wouldn’t think that much about otherwise.

Friend, there is a difference between being the dreaded “PC” and not using hate language. I hope you don’t call people “ner" or "fot”. A person choosing to alter their body is them doing something to themselves; you using hate language impacts people who are not you.

I believe a person should be entitled to choose how to alter their genitals. The trouble with female circumcision is that it is not a choice; it is something forced on a girl. After all; if a man wanted to be circumsized, for instance if they have converted to Judaism, I would support their choice in that too.

Alex337, I am confused why you are posting here. Are you a practicing Catholic? Do you realize things you are saying are against the teaching of the Catholic Church?

So if a 15 year old girl wants to be “circumcised” you’re okay with that?

And tranny is not hate language. It’s common slang which I’ve seen transgender people use themselves. You discredit yourself when you equate calling trans people “tranny” with calling black people “n*****.”

It’s interesting how many transwomen retain their male entitlement.

I’ll admit that some intersex cases aren’t clear cut but most people are clearly male bodied or female bodied and this is obvious when the child is born.

I don’t believe they have demanded anything of the sort. Nor made a spectacle of it. My trans* friends have come out by telling us what name they use and what pronouns they go by. It was very simple. It was actually rather sweet when one of the more “bogan” (I suppose US folks would say redneck?) friends replied with the simple question of “okay; so should I call you bro or babe now?” and then proceeded to call her babe as he would any woman.

In my own home state, a kid who cannot drink, own a firearm, or serve their country without their parent’s consent has been taken from their parents because their parents wont allow them to permanently hormonally change their body
Whoa, that is some heavily twisted stuff. Demonic.

As such surgery isn’t allowed until 18; no. I would also hope she goes through a similar amount of counselling as the trans* people do to be sure.

I’m afraid it is. While I don’t like to rely on wiki you can see that even it lists it as derogatory and offensive; Tranny - Wikipedia So while some trans* people I know have very, VERY rarely used it they have done so in the same way a black person would use n***er; to reclaim and depower it.

I have never met a transwoman who retained male entitlement, though admittedly I’m not totally sure what you mean by that?

Actually while I am currently Catholic I am in the process of evaluating my faith. 🙂

So you have no issue with an 18 year old female being “circumcised?”

Okay.

It’s pretty clear to me who’s influencing you - and it’s not God.

You should not find and pick a religion that aligns with your views, but rather, find the truth and adjust your views to that.

Your views are incompatible with Catholicism.

You may want to consider Episcopalianism.
Thank you for the recommendation, but I am more interested by the Religious Society of Friends.
