Very true. I do like your idea of having a box of mantillaā€™s, shawls, etc., for those who unwittingly didnā€™t dress appropriately. They do it at restaurants with dress codes, right? So why not at a church?
 
i wasn;t aware there were a ā€œfamous fiveā€ one of them would be my sister, paramedicgirl probably? i donā€™t know. i know she is a fab paramedic and pretty funny:) always has been:) got a great sense of humour:) hmmā€¦ now only if i had a good sense of humourā€¦ hey, no fair, dad passed on his ha ha to you and not to me:D weee wahhh wahhhhhhh!!!šŸ˜ƒ

we do have a box of mantillas and head scarfs, but the idea of a box of freshly laundered clothing is a wonderful idea:) we keep the head coverings freshly laundered, so why not some clothes too?šŸ‘

Frankly, I thought they did have this at SSPX churches. I remember someone told me this.

I canā€™t be that famous or that much a cause for all the animosity, I didnā€™t even join this topic until page 6ā€¦ LOL, some folks didnā€™t take kindly to my common sense approach to the issue, Iā€™ve received a few PMā€™s that let me know how they REALLY feel about me, even called prebubescent and stupid.

People are very passionate about women being allowed to wear hooker pants to Church I guess, common sense dictates itā€™s innapropriate but whatever. Iā€™ll bow out now.

For the record there is nothing wrong with kindly reminding someone of the dress code and if theyā€™re dressed innapropriately. At allā€¦

i have 2 right off the bat that i can donate:) would you care to consider a donation if he thinks its a good idea next time your in town?

IN my own church, I wouldnā€™t react much differently then you do but Marilenaā€™s church has a dress code and therefore has a right to enforce that code.

When I was younger, I knew a soldier who had just returned home from the First Gulf War. During this time, soldiers were allowed to enter the civilian areas of Saudi.(they canā€™t anymore) He told me that he was approached on a bus by a young Saudi male who informed him that his clothing was not acceptable. The young soldier thanked the Saudi male for correcting his mistake and returned to the base for a change of clothing. He told me that it was the Saudiā€™s country not his and they could set their own rules. Even at that time in my life-I was very, very liberal then- I admired the maturity of that young G.I.

I think the same thing applies to Marlenaā€™s church, no one here has to agree with her churchā€™s dress code but it is the Spx(did I get that correct) rule to attire oneā€™s self in a certain manner. And that should be respected if one attends the church.

Iā€™ll look for some. But I wear all my skirts to my NO church, so I might not have anything.
