The gawking men should have all lined up for confession behind the woman in black pants… Well maybe they should put her behind… This doesn’t sound good no matter how you put it. You know what I mean.

Honestly don’t mean it the way it sounds.

I’m just saying that women don’t know or care what a little flashing of the flesh does to a man. Fortunately for my sake I have been trained well. Like that horse being beaten. I have blinders and replace the man with your wife, girlfriend or mother or even better the Blessed Mother reminding me that I am to live a transformed life.

But if the men aren’t living truly transformed lives then they have sinned already.

obviously she didn’t know our dress code. i can’t imagine people knowing about the dress code and coming in inappropriate attire anyways. that would be a blatant sign of disrespect for our Lord.

We had one at Christmas Midnight Mass.
She looked fine in her coat, then the coat came off.
Suddenly we saw pants like this with a sheer top that split in the back. Add the five inch heals and bleached blonde hair and she sure looked like a street walker.

Our dress code is on the door too.

When the coat came off, one of the teenage girls, her mother and myself almost fainted.

I really hope she tried to receive communion from our senior priest. He would tell her that she is dressed inappropriately and to get a cover before getting back in line.

And for all the posters on Marilena for her actions, better another woman than the priest.

Or we could just yell, “A witch, we caught a witch…!”

a matter of opinion. I am guessing that after the man who brought the woman to church, explained to her in her language, that what she was wearing was not appropriate, she could feel embarrassed, or she could have reacted by your hand signals, as you suggested and not really care.

I think the idea of a Studio 54, velvet rope thing would be good idea, with big burly bouncers in Armani suits NOT.

I wonder if the Apostles scanned the crowds at the sermon on the mount, or when John the Baptist was baptising people in the river, looking for people who were not dressed appropriately. Seriously doubt that. However, the Pharisees “were” paying close attention to every detail, and commenting on the scandal (in their opinion) of course.

Talk to your priest…you did what you thought was right…some of us disagree and obla dee, obla da, life goes on.

Right, however without knowing this women it’s hard to say…

Maybe it was the only thing she had to “cover” herself, although by your accounts it didn’t cover much of anything. (I don’t know what she has in her wardrobe)

If she was “non-catholic” she may of thought it was just a Catholic thing. I have relatives that are non-catholic that at times go to Mass w/ hubby and I. They do not kneel or genuflect, dip their fingers in the holy water, etc… Because for them it just a “Catholic” thing.

The “non-catholic” women in my family would never cover their heads, because they would see it as another “catholic” thing.

I really don’t know…

I don’t know the women and I wasn’t there, so I can’t case judgment.

Or maybe some of us have a nephew who lives next to a strip club and see the women who work there in his apartment building.
They are either stripping or hooking.

Some where Shirley Temple outfits and some where School Uniforms. Some dress like nuns but all of them wear these pants when doing laundry.

Today, not in the 70’s or 80’s but today.
If you don’t want to be Stereotypes as a “Paid Woman” don’t dress like one.
