Do you know how special you are? Please stay just the way you are. You and your husband is in my prayers

I continue to thank and pray for all of CAF members who have offered their prayers and words of encouragement. I know that God has been working with both my husband and I during this difficult situation. My husband is having a difficult time with me forgiving him for what he has done and is struggling with forgiving himself. He is not convinced that I will be able to take him back because of what he has done. We had a very long talk today about what happened, which was very hard for me, but we needed to talk about it if we are going to work through this. He asked if he were to ask me to come out and be with him what would I do. I told him I would be packing bags right now and be there as soon as I could. We both realize that we can not go back to what we had because it did not work, we would have to start new. As for his depression he will be able to get an appointment whenever he wants, he just has to let them know a week in advance. I told him to make it as soon as possible and I will be there for him. I know that our reconcilation will take time, maybe years, but I have faith in the Lord and I have hope. I will not give up on my husband in his time of need because I know that he would do the same for me. We continue to love each other and share a deep friendship for one another. I would like to offer hope to anyone else out there who is going through a similar situation. Nothing is impossible with the Lord, just continue to believe and keep your faith strong. At times it will seem that hope is lost and that God has abandoned you, but that is just the evil one coming between you and God. Ask God for help, He always listens. I don’t know the outcome of my situation, but I am not giving up, I trust in Him. May God Bless All of You!
Cassie, your strong and unfailing faith is a powerful example for us all. You are an inspiration to me. :angel1:

Thank you for giving us this update. I am still praying for you frequently!

:hug1:

Your dedication to your marriage vows is truly inspiring. Your love is unconditional, a true reflection of God’s love of us. I am praying for your intentions. The Lord rewards persistence, which you were born with an ample supply of. He is truly with you, and He knows what is required for the perfection of both of your souls. Nothing so valuable as a solid marriage is easy to fight for, or to reclaim, but with His help, beginning anew will take on a new dimension. Never give up, as the Lord never gives up on us.

Christ’s peace, sister.

I owe all of you many thanks for your continuing prayers and encouragement. Last night while talking on the phone with my husband ( something we do daily) he asked if I could forgive him and would I take him back. I started crying and told him that I have forgiven him and that he was never really gone from me because I kept praying for him. We have many issues to work out, but I know we can do this. My son is getting married next month on a cruise and my husband is planning for the BOTH of us to go. We have both found that we miss each other tremedously so I may be joining him or he may find work closer to home. I continue to pray each and every day and I thank God for all his blessings. I am keeping all of you in my prayers!

Cassie - thank you so much for the note…

I am praising God for your son’s marriage and also for hearing our prayers for you…again, you inspire (I think) a lot of us…all of whom at one time or another have had difficulties in our marriage…you are an excellent example of a true Catholic woman loving her husband as we all should love ours…

Please pray for me too…

Blessings!
Holly

Want to share this with you. I believe we all can heal with a little help. My prayers are with you.

Helping Each Other Through Change
by Rick Warren

“I hope you will be patient with me ….” (2 Corinthians 11:1a, NLT)

In order to manage change, you must remember four things –

Love each other

The first mistake most people make during change is to focus on what they’ve lost, instead of what has been gained – and that creates fear. The antidote to fear is love: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear ….” (1 John 4:18 NKJ)

It’s impossible for love and fear to exist in the same environment – If we’ll focus on loving each other, then we’ll break out of the self-centeredness that often emerges during change. The love that conquers fear involves thinking about others instead of focusing on your own needs – and the more you love, the less you fear.

Listen to each other

During transition, we must be “quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry ….” (James 1:19 NIV) If we get the first two right (quick listening, slow speaking), then the third (slow anger) will become automatic. It reflects the concept of “seeking to understand” before trying “to be understood.”

“Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear.” (James 1:19 MSG)

Level with each other

We must speak the truth in love to each other if we’re going to walk together through change. It is human nature to avoid confronting someone directly, but then we fall into problems – even gossip – by talking to other people about the person we need to confront.

We can’t get close to each other until we deal honestly with our fundamental differences. “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.” (Ephesians 4:15 NIV)

Liberate each other

Finally, we need to show each other grace – “cut each other some slack” – during transition. Liberating each other means letting go and treating someone else the same way Jesus treats you.

In other words, we shouldn’t lean into legalism or lording mistakes over others. People will make mistakes, and our response should be to recognize that these things will happen. The goal is not to make those who make mistakes feel bad, but rather to let them get over it and move on.

Praise God!
Will keep you in my prayers.

God bless you both +

Please pray that my husband will let Jesus Christ enter his heart and that he will give our marriage a chance. He will be coming back the 17th to talk and I pray that time has let him search his heart and realize that he would like to give this marriage a chance. I pray that this will be God’s will.
I’ll be praying for you both.
Peace,
Brigid

I continue to be humbled by everyone’s prayers and words of encouragement. I have found that this crisis has brought both my husband and I closer to each other and to God. There have been times when I thought all was lost and I was alone, but through prayer and through all of you CAF members I continued to have faith and hope in the Lord. I offer praise and thanksgiving to God and hope that I can continue to help others as they have helped me. I truly believe that there are angels here on Earth and here on the Forum who have helped me and others through tough times. I pray for all of them and that God will bless their lives.

May God Bless You All!

Cassie,

This has really touched me (and I believe many others), praise God and thanks for his Angels and Saints among us…

Cassie - my heart will storm heaven with prayers today…may the sight of you, his lovely, faithful bride reinstall all the love and desire to fight for your marriage, no matter what has surpassed.

God bless you and your husband…

I am praying for you and your husband.

Pray this prayer:

We ask your prayers, St. Joseph, an upright man, a spouse who planned to divorce Mary in secret and who by God’s grace was able to see his role in God’s plan.

We ask you in our behalf to pray to God that our marriage be healed. We are enveloped in pain and despair as you must have been when you learned of Mary’s pregnancy. Be for and with us, Joseph, in our hour of doubt. Let us listen to and heed the voice of God as you did.

Be our intercessor to your Jesus, to give us the blessings to change, to listen, to forgive and most of all to hope that our marriage will heal and our family remain whole and holy.

We give you honor, quiet St. Joseph, for you are a spouse like us, who while knowing pain, did not divorce. By God’s grace you nourished the Holy Family and the Savior of all families throughout the ages.
Amen.

I prayed this prayer for many weeks and my marriage was put back in order. I pray the same for you.
Thank you shajek74 for this prayer. I have been praying this prayer twice a day since the start of this crisis and it has helped me. I hope this prayer will help others that are going through marriage difficulties.

Things between my husband and I continue to improve and I am greatly looking forward to seeing him again, just as he is looking forward to seeing me. We are starting everything over because neither one of us is the same person anymore, but I think we have both grown a deeper appreciation for each other and love for one another. I know this road to reconciliation will not be an easy one, but one that I am willing to go down with the Lord at my side. I continue to pray for all who are in similar situations, may God continue to be with you!

I am so happy to hear that things are improving. You and your husband are in my prayers and are the intentions of my rosary and mass each week. Please continue to be encouraged.

May the Blessed Mother pray for us all

I am so glad to hear that things are better. Continue to pray and have faith that God will bring you back together. Remember that with Him, all things are possible.👍

Thank you rebusrms, shajek74,jesu1984, mitziemia and simon x for your continued prayers. I feel that I don’t deserve all the prayers and words of encouragement because I haven’t been a faithful servant to God in the past, but I humbly accept your prayers and know that God has forgiven me for wandering away and is happy to see me on the right path again. My husband still struggles with his faith, but I know God is working with him. The one thing that I have learned through this is that God hasn’t abandoned us, even though it may seem like it. I have written this before, but there are Angels on this Earth and sometimes they are right before our eyes, we just have to take the time and really see them. During my busy day I have taken time to just look out at the world and thank God for it’s beauty. I have changed spiritually and continue to pray that my husband will too. He is truly a good man deep inside and doesn’t like to see anybody hurt. I pray for him every morning and night and ask God to forgive him and have mercy on him. I continue to have hope and faith for reconciliation and offer prayers of thanks to all of you. May God continue to bless your lives.

Continuing prayers for the two of you. May the Lord bless both of you with a newfound and rejuvenated love of one another. As the church is one body separated, you are one flesh separated and unity is the Holy Spirit’s goal. May His efforts lead the two of you together in love. Amen! Alleluia!

Thank you po18guy for your continued prayers. I was feeling a little down today because I miss my husband, but coming to the Forum tonight has helped lift my spirits and has given me comfort. Thank you all for your continued prayers. I will be seeing my husband in less than a month. I pray that the Lord will let us find a way to be together and still be able to provide for our family without so many miles separating us. May God Bless All!
