Possibly.

We’ve seen this kind of thing before: most recently in Virginia when that guy shot the two reporters during a live broadcast, and in Europe when that Germanwings pilot flew that plane into a mountain. In both cases, the perpetrators were struggling with SSA.

I don’t know about that part. Yet I found the news that several people remembered seeing him there on prior occasions; that he was registered on more than one gay dating app; that he seemed obsessed with weightlifting and physical fitness; and that he was abusive toward his wife particularly revealing.
Well, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Nothing to do with with 468, 470 and 472, perhaps your wrong 🤷 If you can’t respond to the points I understand its quite democratic predictable.
I’m sorry, but I’m again having some trouble understanding your point because of the lack of punctuation and I think you meant to say the opposite of what you actually said at one point. Can you please fix and repost?

Heres your response
My comment had to do with the response to someone who said that the US should ban Muslims from entering the country and I said that wouldn’t have mattered in this case.
And you also said
the shooter was a US born American citizen.
and
Since Mateen was a) already in the country then restricting access to Muslims wouldn’t have mattered in that case.
And my point is the two are not mutually exclusive to anything. So explain how is that relevant to anything including guns. radical islamists, or vetting migrants?

Yes context does matter. So do tell Where did you explain is in what post? The mentioned above 484 by you is irrelevant.

I would think both should be covered under any new law banning these weapons.
What definition are you using that would cover them both?

Certainly not the one you claimed we should use… That one only dealt with cosmetic issues, not actual function.

What exact punctuation point? Since you want to play punctuation police now what exactly are you talking about, quote it and explain or as usual your full of it.

I suggested that the definition of an assault rifle follow the one laid out in the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act as a starting point. It may have to be tweaked to include both arms.

And the question was “why” as in explain yourself? Or do you think people should chase ghost posts you never made in regards?

In this case, banning Muslims from entering America would not have had an effect on this particular case since Mateen was a US born American citizen. That was the point I was making and the context under which I was making my comments.

Perhaps after all the squirming and playing the punctuation police and mind reader you ought to get real. 🤷
I have explained the context of my comments several times and felt that re-reading may help you understand the context.

I explained that when a new assault rifle ban is enacted, the definition used in the old law would be a good starting point, but it may need to be tweaked to cover the correct weapons.

You haven’t been able to explain a thing, very sad, imo. And maybe re-reading will help you. My point is the two are not mutually exclusive to anything. So explain how is that relevant to anything including guns. radical islamists, or vetting migrants?

Lets be clear you have no answer …“none”. 🤷 😊

Oh the punctuation, what post? More bs by you?

And what definition would you use that encompassed both arms.

What makes them both ‘assault rifles’, as the second one is commonly called a "Ranch Rifle’, in that it is used by ranchers for varmint control. Both are designed to be dependable, accurate firearms that shoot the same mid powered cartridge that has manageable recoil.

What distinguished an ‘Assault Rifle’ from a “Ranch Rifle”

These are the details that would have to be worked out by Congress as they develop a new law banning assault rifles. Like I said, the definition used in the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act would be a good starting point but tweaks would be needed.
